I keep my battery on my Diablo trickle charged when I do not use it that often, I use the charging post on the drivers side and a bolt on the frame for ground. It used to work just fine, until recently the charger started to turn off and read battery problem, the battery is about three years old. I tried a dif charger and same thing. Should I be hooking up directly to the battery? Or maybe the battery is done?

If that doesn't fix the problem then obviously your battery is shot. If it does then odds are you have a corroded/bad connection from the battery to ground. Been there done that.

Is there a battery to frame connection?

Yes, but not on top of the engine. I believe its in the area where the oil filter resides.

Within a few inches of the battery.

    Dear Lamborghinisti,

I use the Deltran trickle charger. It's instructions call for the "quick connect" direct attachment to the battery.

I would clean all the connectors...including the battery and use a some contact preserver.

It was a bad battery. Funny, it had a 48 month warranty, and it was exactly 48 months old.

How do the battery people always hit it on the nose like that. New battery in and charging problem solved.
