Advice: don't carry open liquids in cars that corner at 1.0 Gs.

You want a cup holder in an exotic? I don't even allow unbottled liquids in my truck let alone my "toys.". Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Sponsor ricumbi makes a very nice carbon fiber one that replaces the ashtray.

I agree...besides, you would only be able to take sips at red lights since both hands are busy :)

Where did you source this? Does it fit a 355 as well?

Hey! Thanks everyone from a first time F owner. I really appreciate your ideas -- except maybe the truck driver.

I wanted a cup holder, mostly for my significant other who is a Starbucks junkie, but I like an arm rest too. I did not want to modify anything permanently so I seaarced around and wound up making the armrest/ cup holder fit. It is from a 2004 Toyota (I know, GASP!!!) and it slips perfectly over the existing center console and fits snugly in place with no screws or attachments. I can grab it and pull it out at any time. It also provides me some storage in the center console. The armrest slides front if you want it further front too. I would have rather had a black one but made due with what was available. I had to cut off the front piece that surrounded the shifter and make a front end plate out of a polymer piece I had. It looks good and works well. If anyone wants details or more pics, I can remove it and make some instructions. You should be able to find one at a salvage yard for about $50.

PLEASE give quite a bit of thought about carrying beverages in your Ferrari.

About two months ago, I was in my Acura MDX (thank God) with a Venti Starbucks Drip in my cup holder. Some moron decided he wanted to go from the far left lane to the far right lane on IH10 at 70+mph - right in front of me, of course. Long story-short, the cup launched itself directly at my dash and associated electronics. I spent over 10 hours with Q-tips and brushes trying to clean up the car. The rugs (even after shampooing multiple times) still have a sour milk smell and my electronics (e.g., stereo, AC, switches) are working intermittently (even after cleaning everything I could reach with electronics cleaner).

It's your prerogative, but I can promise you that if the aforementioned does occur in your Ferrari, you are going to be one very unhappy camper.

I agree 100% ......... something similar happened in my other car. On the left turn lane was a semi long line and when we got going a few cars went freely, then the guy in front of me stopped right as the light turned yellow  ......... and of course the drink between my legs just lurched forward and spilled over the steering wheel and onto the floor mat ......... :(

I agree, which is why no drinks/food are allowed in mine...it's a Ferrari, not a kitchen ;)
