    That's a Benetti Vision, 45m long, series-built, GRP-hulled yacht. Semi-custom.

    147' is not very large in this end of the market. Benetti's larger custom yachts are all >200' and steel-hulled. This is kind of their trade-up plastic boat, they also have a 120' Classic model with a composite hull that is their "entry level" model. Paul Allen, Larry Ellison, Abramovich et al have yachts that are >400'.

    This model is kind of like a Corvette as far as large motor yachts go, not even really a Ferrari/exotic. Actually it's not even a Vette which gives you Ferrari performance at lower prices, a Benetti more like a Jag or Maserati. Benettis, although they are Italian, are not that high-end in this niche. Feadship in the Netherlands, Lurssen in Germany, and a few other German custom yards are the "Ferrari" of large yacht builders.

    Rick Caruso had a Benetti Vision a few years ago. Might be his, his family usually name their boats with Italian names, but AFAIK he was trying to sell his a while back.

    I love the analogy! All those Corvette driving, under-200-foot-long-yacht-owning losers need to step up their game! If you cannot keep pace with Paul Allen or Larry Ellison, you might as well stay off the water. :)
