Love the write up...like the author's style. Almost sounds like something Clarkson would write.

That video was the '98 edition of the test.

The '97 test had the 355 running
    - 180.0 mph top speed
    - 4.8seconds 0-60mph
    - 1.01 lateral acceleration
    - 13.2 second 1/4mile @ 112 mph
    - 15.4 seconds 0-100-0 mph

and running the Las Vegas Motor Speedway's modified road course in 39.5 seconds, or .1 slower than the Viper GTS.

    Pretty impressive stuff....

I remember having that issue back in the day. '98 is considered.....vintage? Damn I feel old.

Thanks for posting. I have not seen that one for a couple of years. 1998 doesn't seem that long ago, but when you see what the Panoz, 1st gen Viper and Z3-M Roadster look like next to the F355 it really highlights how timeless the 355's styling is.

The 2nd Gen Viper (in GTS form) is still a damn good looking car too.

I was under the impression the wheels on our cars were magnesium not aluminum.

God I love the F355. It's even better when the review nails it.

I am surprised the Lotus transmission stayed in one piece for that test.

    The engine bay show a 95 355.

No wonder they used the vest iteration, 2 years later. :)

Re-reading the copy, the thing that just amazes me every time I see it is that we're talking about 213 cubic inches here, and almost 2hp per cubic inch.

This is a landmark car and the 355 community needs to elevate it as such. It was the car that shifted Ferrari's direction, re-established it's credentials and paved the way for the amazing product that followed.

I've loved the model since I noticed it ('95 or '96) and I take great pride in keeping my '97B as pristine as possible. Yes I do drive it like it was meant to be driven. ;)

I wonder how my #19 Fiorano would do? Can't open it up do to prior law enforcement encounters, if you get my drift.

Good stuff all around! We should probably get together and post all the tests and magazine articles in this thread so we have them all in one place.

I will look around my computer and see what I can find.
