The tail pipes you see at the back of the car are not connected to the main exhaust pipes. There is a gap or space, although they are in line when the clam is in the down/affixed position, allowing the clam to be lifted. Watch the video from 5.38.

I guess there's a lot of smoke in the engine bay then ...
and some smell in the cabin probably

that's weird ... in this very moment I was watching this video
and I guess those license plates # 5094 refers to it's telaio

Indeed it does, Joe. The interior on the car was originally full blue leather with Britax Harness Belts and A/C. The leather colour was changed when the car was restored about 1990. Thank you very much for posting that. I'd love to see the car in the flesh again.

The gap is the reason why you'll see soot on the bodywork around where the tailpipes are fixed and why the honeycombe grille so hard to clean as it too gets full of soot.

Oh, yes. On long trips my trick is to put the luggage in large garbage bags and seal them well to the packed clothes do not take the smell of gas and exhaust. You can't avoid it in the cabin, but at least you can change out of the now smelly clothes you drove in after a long drive.

The Japanese video of the SV has got to be some of the best footage ever done on the Miura, absolutely superb.

Here is a period shot of the interior of Dino Martin's 16th Birthday present from his dad Dean. Check out the plaque on the console, says D.M. Jr.

Can't imagine having a Miura in High School. One with a 8-Track no less!

Jay Leno now owns this car #3237. Interesting story how his friend gave it to him after he'd bought it with a siezed engine after Dino had gone over a bump and cracked the sump.

Actually, as I was told it by the very sales manager who sold him the car at Lamborghini's old premises on La Brea, Dino paid for it with his own money. His mother was only in attendance because of his age.

Great pics, Joe. I see the car has wing mirrors and grey? sills in these pics. The car doesn't have mirrors (now or in your pic in post 308) which Jay ponts out in his video of the car.

Sills & mirrors etc. are things that can easily be changed and often are during the life of a 45-year-old Miura. I suspect Dino later removed the mirrors because the pics are from 1968 when the car was pretty much brand new and he was showing it off. Several Miura owners went to black sills because of tar streaks etc. I also know that the car as Jay has it does not have the plaque or the TAG Heuer Rally clocks, the vinyl steering wheel cover has been removed exposing the wood rim, and the interior color is now black, so there are quite a few detail changes. See pics below..

Yes, I know somebody who changed the gold sills on his SV to silver, then to blue and then to white. He experimented with the wheel colour too and the car wasn't very old at all then. I have to say that the original gold was best.

The interior trim looks light in the b&w pics, especially on the door, too. Oh I see you've explained that too now. Cheers, Joe. Thanks to you we know much more about 3327 today then we did yesterday.

One of the reasons the SV owner I'm talking about above changed the colour of the wheels and sills from gold was that he said that the paint was softer and more prone to chipping than other colours.

Your old car (4830, right?) has white sills in the Performance Car '86 article when Barry Robinson owned it. I assume it didn't leave the factory that way? For me, sills have to be gold or silver.

Yes, 4830. Not my car but my father's. When it left the factory it had gold sills and wheels and this is how it was when he got it and this is how it looked the best by far. It also had a narrow gold stripe going down the centre of the bonnet in the furrow.
