Pure speculation of course, but it wouldnt be a surprise that the pilot of #23 is playing a conservative game, to keep life in the tyres for the big points enduro race tomorrow. At the last round we saw quite a few cars replace tyres due to wear issues.. I still think only having 6 tyres for so many laps isnt quite enough...
Streaming now. Only caught the end of the race but it sounded like Scud was taking out. Fought back to 6th, well done. I'm sure GTR will fill us in.
R2 6th Mr Bobik attempted an overtaking manoeuvre that was very optimistic... pretty much chopped Mr Lago's nose off.. they touched, both went round, and it was catch up for both for the rest of the race. Mr Bobik spun twice more, but got fastest lap. Mr Lago ended up 6th. Arguably Mr Lago could have left Mr Bobik more room, but he would have had to back off completely to miss the nose chop.. probably not enough time to do it. Presumably there will have been words in the pit after the event.... No penalties indicated but DSO Cameron McConville will no doubt have a chat with both!
There was a car turned around early on, Mr Rankin's ex-Lago 997, which may have been helped off, and 3 other cars collided to stop in time, or in avoidance collected someone else. Only looked cosmetic on the Morriss cars, but may have hurt the radiators.. So DNFs
R3 4th... And Mr Lago wins the 2011 Jim Richards Enduro Trophy series! Mr Bobik did another crash and bash routine, thankfully not against Mr Lago in this race.. the suggestion on the itvlive chat that the only reason the #8 car is painted orange is to warn the cars in front that he is coming Just got pipped by Mr Lago on the line by 0.2s! I suspect the #23 ran out of tyres...
I saw it was 3rd after I put it up Took just under an hour for Natsoft to update with the results of the Trophy race... Another 2011 national title awaits!
