    Seller says:

"NEEDS TO HAVE TRANSMISSION, CLUTCH, AND FLYWHEEL REPLACED. These are easy fixes, however, I am currently deployed abroad to Afghanistan, and am not currently in a position to have those repairs done at this time. My loss is your gain. YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER 2008 M3 SEDAN WITH A CLEAR TITLE, IN THIS CONDITION, FOR THIS PRICE.

The vehicle was also rear ended the last time I was home on leave and needs one new tail pipe, possibly a rear bumper, however, the damage to the bumper is not bad (mainly just some scrapes and scratches but no discoloration). The front right wheel is also scraped, mainly just the outermost edge of the wheel, but that's not bad either."

    Translation:

I was learning to drift in my new M3 in the parking lot at the mall, but too many clutch-kicks and Scandinavian flicks killed the tranny, burned up the clutch, and glazed the flywheel. Oh yeah, I did a wicked powerslide in front of the Benigans but lost the back end and tagged a retaining wall."

I wouldn't mind it as a dedicated track car, needs a few more mods and it's set. You crash, oh well. :D

It was meticulously maintained after all, that's a real selling point when you need to replace the entire tranny!

My plain old 325Ci coupe, in boring metallic grey, actually did get a lot of female attention -- so if that's the whole point of it then a buyer can skip the M package altogether. Women still seem to love the badge.

Exactly. Nothing worse than removing a filthy transmission. I always like to send them off to the recycler looking like new.
