I could use just a bit of help if you'd be willing. I'm heading to Chicago in a couple of weeks. I'm flying into O'hare, taking the train downtown, spending a few hours seeing some old friends and places, then taking the train out of town. I need a store a bag so I don't have to lug it around with me. I can't remember if there are lockers in the Randolph St. station. Does anyone know? Do you have a better idea where I could store a bag for a few hours? Thanks a lot for the help.
Having worked in hotels in college, I find concierge and bellmen them to be a great resource when travelling. Need to store a bag for a few hours? Need to leave an envelope with tickets for a friend? I've never met a hotel employee that turned down an opportunity to make a couple bucks because you werent an overnight guest.
FarmerDave gave a very good suggestion. You can use google maps to find the nearest hotel, likely no more than a block or two from the train station, and store the bag(s) with the concierge for a few bucks. Is there a reason you would not want to do that?
Oh no, no reason but I was worried that they might not do it and then I'd be screwed. That was my original plan but I always like to have a backup.
