    Hi all,

Anyone knows what happened to the BBR models web store?

I pre-ordered a model at the site two weeks ago, but the site now suddenly redirects to the Gasoline Models web shop and next to that I received an e-mail that my order was cancelled and I should place it again at the Gasoline Models web shop...

The reason for these might be, BBR was closed in August for there Vacation.
BBR will be available again as of 1 September.
That maybe the reason they redirected you to the Gasoline store.
As I remember, Gasoline was the place to order from in the first place.

Well it does not redirect to the Gasoline store anymore, but the webshop itself is not online again either. Now it displays a "coming soon" message. I am sure it was online for 2 months or so before the august closing. Probably they decided the webshop still needed some more work.

Thanks for the tip, but I am lucky to have a very good BBR (and not only BBR) dealer in my own town: http://www.armand-modelcars.nl/

Does anyone know a good BBR kit dealer in the US? (used to build BBR's and Tameo, recent divorce means I've got time on my hands again)

Up until about three years ago, I used to know who sold what 1/43 kits in the US but they all went busted.

I recommend Grand Prix Models in the UK. They (used to be) just as fast as ordering from a
US source and at the same price. Don't know about today though.

www.miniwerks.com is excellent. It is a webshop. Never any problem and Mike is a delight to deal with.

They didn't all go bust, some just do not want to deal with BBR anymore. Like me. BBR are the biggest bunch of +++holes ever to cast resin. EWA in NJ also dropped them and for the same reasons I did. There kits were constantly missing parts or kits/builts would arrive damaged and they would never replace parts. They also decided to resell there own products and undercut the dealers.

I do not think they even make unbuilt kits anymore.

Even though I can't stand them I still think they made some really nice built models

Miniwerks is higly recommended, and Mike is lightning fast and pleasant to do business with, but I don't know if he sells kits..

You can ask him after the weekend, he's in Monterey now.
