Does anybody here know anything about this car? Is this a special edition? Spoke to the lady who is selling it and she is trying to contact Ferrari because she thinks there is a history behind it. Seems like a great starter Ferrari for $45K. Any info or feedback on this car is much appreciated - http://globalautosports.com/car/1985-Ferrari-308GTSi-Convertible-35682.html

$32k or so would be a better number.

Unless it is "special", no way is a not red QV worth that in this economy.

I love it but not $45k love it. I would do 33-35K for it.

The rear spoiler sure makes it special.

Was diggin' it 'till i saw the rear wing.

Never seen that color combo before and it like all 308s is beautiful.

Should be a discount for color not a premium.

Not a fan of wings either but unusual 308 colour combos are worth an easy premium. $45 no problem.

Is that some sort of digital oil pressure gauge or is it a photo artifact?

I've never been a fan of white cars especially with white interior. Much too virgin for me. It also seems to be priced high. I won't even elaborate on the spoiler. I paid $33,000 for my 85 308gtsi with 21,000 miles. You would have to get the right person when you're looking to sell it. But you know what they say about opinions.

If you're a fan of white w/white , how many do you think were manufactured ? 10 would be my guess for a particular year. Certainly worth a premium if that is your preference. Good luck finding a replacement.

Now that looks like "the right stuff"... Perhaps the writer Tom Wolfe, famous for wearing and driving all white everything, was this car's first owner? ; )...

I have been told that leather cannot be dyed white - it has to be sprayed on the surface. Consequently, it wears much faster than leather that is dyed through. That would mean that this car has been extremely well cared for, or the leather has been re-sprayed (judging by the apparent good condition of the seats in the photos.)

It might be a desirable car for some, particular because it's (mostly) Euro spec. However, if I had a white 308, I'd personally prefer black interior for the contrast. 308s are so beautiful that they even look good white (normally my least favorite color for cars), but with a matching interior, it's just too much white for me.

Color notwithstanding, that spoiler would stop me.

May be the right car for someone, but not for me.

It looks like a reflection of the serial number plate located on the top of the steering column.

I see several details that make me wonder about the "mint" description; engine wiring and hoses are messy, cock-eyed dash instruments, "ricer" wing, painted factory spoiler, and those oval "Euro" license plates.

If it is a factory interior, it's more odd than rare because white leather over blk carpet is harsh if not tacky. It would be a price deduction if I were shopping. Anecdotally, I've seen pics of white leather in 308s only w/red piping & red carpeting. Looks more like an aftermarket or interior redo to me.

The messy engine says to me that the car is nothing special; high $20K's max. That's assuming good compression and that it starts and runs nicely, and everything works. $45K+ buys a concours quality 308, this one ain't.

Well it's certainly different. I'd do some research before buying. And the asking price? Too high.

I dunno. Sometimes "rare" doesn't necessarily mean "better".

Interesting colour combo, i've never seen it before on a 308 that I can remember. :)

But, I am sure there are plenty out there that will give it a good home for the right price of course. :)
