Er... if people were interested in doing less typing....there would be little reason for a discussion forum....and would make less valid 95% of the posts in FC

The existence of a 7 year old post does not necessarily rule out interesting chat about possible recent developments in the topic, nor input from members who have joined FC more recently.

Maybe Jay Leno bought a F car in the last month??? I myself did not own a Ferarri 7 years ago...or even know how to spell Ferrarri?? hehe

Somehow, I picture Jay in a Lambo moreso than a Ferarri, no?

Hey, I just trying to have alittle fun here

He has multiple Lamborghinis, but no Ferraris. This topic has been beaten to death.

The 308 is not his, it belongs to his head mechanic.

    +1

I've been here near to nine years, eight as a member, and don't give a rat's ass if the same topic gets brought up 100 times.

Regarding Jay: I've heard and read that that the 308 actually belongs to one off his staff mechanics. For a number of speculative reasons, Jay has had an axe to grind with Ferrari from way back.

Excellent point. You can easily tune in or tune out of a certain thread if it doesn't appeal to you.

It appears you still don't know how to spell FERRARI. Sorry I couldn't resist.

Why the facination with Leno and Ferrari. At least two threads a year asking the same questions. By all accounts the guy likes Steam and Brass era cars. Its kinda like asking a Rolls Royce collector "where's the Ferrari's"?

    1. Facination(sp?) because Leno is a exotic car collector and Ferrari is an exotic car...some propose that it's seemingly an oddity that he didn't buy one

    2. Two threads a year seem by many to be a very modest amount ...in light of the fact that this is a exotic car forum

    3. The "steam and brass " collector owns many exotic cars including Italian exotics....to wit...4 or more Lambos...McLaren F1 ( British) ...2 Vipers ( American exotic) ..Ford GT ( another American)

    Conclusion...this is a valid thread....hope this helps

OK your right. Here's what we know for sure at this point. Jay Leno is a car collecter. Jay can afford any freeking car he desires. Jay doesn't care for Ferrari's like many other people, for what ever reasons. All that's left to discuss is the hypothetical reason that Jay doesn't care for Ferrari's. Personally I don't give a ****. But so far this thread has been enjoyable.
    Take it away CrazySpeed.

You can't avoid the obvious. At some point along the way the people at Ferrari, somewhere, pissed him off. It surely wasn't the car. Given the inherent arrogance of many Company executives it really isn't all that surprising.

IIRC, from reading the several threads here on the subject, when he was young and 'just starting to do well', he went into a Ferrari dealership and was ignored.

There is an interview of someone asking him this question and his response was every fcar he was interested in always had some kind of story, such as questionable history unverified mileage etc. another words trying to buy a Ferrari was a PITA.

Just a question from an european ignorant: why this Leno and his opinions are so important?

It seems that everybody in the US thinks he´s the ultimate car guru or something like that.

as a guy who owns just about everything his opinions on what is better and why would seem to be valid since he has had the opportunity to drive and compare them in his free time. he's also unbiased since he owns all the cars, he's not just reviewing them for a magazine. that being said he's crazy for at least not owning an f40.
