The green cars shown at Concorso this year are not the GT40 converted car shown earlier this year on FCHAT. The green car on the right is Miura # 3685, from Appenzell, Switzerland, fresh restoration by Bobileff Motorcar, unveiling at Concorso, and the orange car is # #3814, with fresh mechanicals by Bobileff Motorcar as well, and the red car is # 3342.

Has 4142 been converted to SV spec? I see it has 9" rear wheels but can't see the other details in the pics.

Only the body is SV style, along with the rear wheels, and c/v joints.

Thanks. I didn't know that was your car. I posted a youtube vid of it along with P400SV JLL 838K 4812 in this thread a few days ago. Interesting history P400 3372 has. First RHD Miura?

I think Dave Chidlow in Australia owns 4826 now, but I am not sure, all I know he brought a very late RHD SV from SA

3198 is a much earlier car than 3372 they are both RHD but I think 3198 was converted by the by the factory earlier for a customer[my 400GT was an official conversion] 3372 according to records is the first RHD Lamborghini to be built on the production line and is very similar to an early S but has winding windows,3198 is has many different features to 3372

Thanks. Yes, I was wondering if 3198 may have been converted from Left to Right Hand Drive. This would also be a light car with a 0.9mm gauge chassis being production number 110. Would there be any tell tale signs on the chassis or anywhere on the car giving it away as originally LHD?

I notice in 'The Lamborghini Miura Bible' that the factory records don't have GD placed next to 5 UK RHD SVs, 2 of which you very fortunately once owned, 4830, 4812, 4814, 4816 or 4818 but do for RHD SV 4828, 4820, 4822 and 4826.

Without some solid evidence, one can only speculate, although would you agree that #4846 is a reasonable contender as there can't have been too many SVs around at that time to draw from? Attached is the poor quality colour image I have in my collection, as well as the better quality B&W image from an Australian magazine. The colour image is a bit clearer on the original magazine cover, but not much sadly.
The same problem arises with the 1970 Geneva Motor Show Miura S, which was a dark blue (possibly Lancia Blue) with a light tan-like interior. I can't match that with any cars going into Switzerland at that time, although it does seem match a car delivered to Lamborauto in Turin in February. However, if they rapidly repainted show cars, then it may never be known for sure. One wonders if the records were ever kept in the first place, or if they were thrown out at some later stage. Either way, it is frustrating:-(

"IF" this is indeed 4846 at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show then it originally had the SV badges centrally fitted under the Miura badge when the car was green. The pics were posted by bb4635 in post 7870 on page 394 of this thread.

David & I are in fairly regular communication. He owns the last Miura built.

    Chassis #4822
    Engine #30759
    Prod. #738
    Completed October 12th, 1973.
    White/Black. RHD.

Originally to Lamborghini Great Britain for client Morettino.

In consistent accordance with its production status, the engine no. is 30759, the highest engine no. on a production SV. There is no question that this is the last production Miura as indicated in the factory's own production register, and not 5110 as falsely claimed by the latter car's owner.

Interestingly a note on the records seems to indicate that this car was re-allocated to client Di Muro, and the car went to South Africa, where David inspected it and purchased it. I have images of the car in SA. David is the 3rd owner from new and has owned the car since 2002, after purchasing it from the second owner in South Africa. The first owner is believed to have been an emigrant to S. Africa, who intentionally ordered the car via Lamborghini of Great Britain in order to receive a RHD car to import to S.Africa. The car had lived in S. Africa for 29 years since late 1973. David has the car under restoration in Australia at the moment.
