1979(?) 308 GTS and GTB sales brochure

    I need some help with my paperwork.

    There are two very similar sales brochures in my documents with my 1978 308 GTS. Both are bound in white, 20 pages, and have all the same photos and information. Along the back edge of one is the following: N.147/77 Printed in Italy (6/M/11/79). That brochure also has a bit more information printed inside the brochure. May I safely represent this to somebody as a brochure for 1979?

    Would the other, which only has N.147/77 would be correct for the 1978 year?

    Thank you, that clarifies it for me.

    This morning I scanned the complete brochure dated 1979 into pdf files if any of you GTB or GTS owners would like to see it. Just let me know and I'll send them to you.

    Below are a few sample pages.

    It would be great to get a "library" of the sales information put together and scanned online. These brochures are interesting and artfully done.

    Jeff, thanks for sending along, I printed them in color and while they arent original, its still a nice addition to the documentation.

    I noticed in one of the interior shots, the aerial switch is a standard toggle, different from the circular plastic knobs on the 3 vent/temp controls.

    On my US 78 GTS they are all the same. Can someone confirm?

    As noted I don't go by the year but the model, the intro of the GTS was in 1978 for North America.

    The earlier 'yellow front" sales brochure showed only GTB examples, North American and Euro versions.

    I just scored a cool German language one from 1979, that links the 308 series together with the F1 championship car, despite the language I thought that tie in was pretty cool!

    Will post when it arrives.

    Oddly, it was a US vendor selling the thing.

    On my US 78 GTB the aerial switch is a black toggle and a different shape than the other three. I've other carb cars with the same black toggle. It's puzzled my why they are different on some cars.

    my 79 GTS built in 78 has the same as what you described (a black toggle and a different shape than the other three)

    Amazing, what you guys discover. I have my car since 15 years and the brochure since ten years. But never realized this thing.
    BTW; my '80 308 GTB has a circular knob n the aerial switch.

    Hi BigTex,

    Did you receive your German brochure yet? Are you sure it's German, not Dutch? I have a brochure from the Dutch Ferrari importer Kroymans. The 1975 312 T is also mentioned but that's because he (Frits Kroymans that is) just bought it himself!

    The brochure I'm talking about is the one at the bottom of the picture. It also shows a copy of the official Ferrari press release for the 1975 Paris Auto Show where the 308 GTB was unveiled for the first time. Typed by hand, ofcourse! :)

    I believe 120/76 is for the California spec car whereas 111/76 is universal
