Confirmed?
they can't remotely be serious unless showing up with bag upon bag of cash... and even then it's a WTH are they thinking....
According to Autosport, no; http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/93888 EJ started the story it seems!..... Cheers, Ian
Grosjean supposedly has a line of cash as well. But Senna ? Really. I hear that Piquet kid has potential as a team player.
The teams owner Genii Capital has merged its operations with Brazils World Wide Investments.. It's all about the cash n sponsers folks.
Grosjean is a bum and it's been proven by getting waxed badly every time out at Renault by Alonso. Senna hasn't had a proper chance yet. Anyone who thinks that the HRT wasn't anything but a crapbox is crazy.
This will be interesting to follow. I dont see a great improvement coming from Senna over Nick. He has not had enough time with the car and I expect Petrov to do well over him. Nick has slightly edged Petrov overall but they paid him off to leave so it must be worth it. Steve alluded to sponsors in Senna's corner so there is always more to the story no matter.
You mean that dude with 2 WDC's ? The best overall driver on the grid ? That guy ? Pity the fool that gets FA's sister car. Come to think of it I do.
that would be the bags and bags of money part... what a waste... senna had a chance, he's not his uncle, his name has taken him far enough. go race sportscars or something else as putting him in the Renault is nothing but a seat warmer for who's next as opposed to Heidfeld who can operate at the pointy end.
I see planetf1 confirming the replacement story, is it official now? How did they decide Senna is a better bet than Heidfeld, I wonder? Poor Hulkenberg.
I am actually happy about this. I have never like NH, he always seemed a bit pouty to me. Also, his chance in F1 has come and gone. He's old and won't have any effect on the sport as a whole. Like someone alluded to with regard to Senna, NH was nothing but a place holder for the time being. I an eager to see how Senna does with a little better equipment. If he doesn't beat, or come close to Petrov, then his F1 career is done, but I'd like to see him get that chance. Mark
Bingo +1. It may be a stretch but I wonder if the positive worldwide reception of Uncle's movie has renewed interest in Bruno's career.
Nick has been in F1 for a very long time and achieved nothing ... he is what is called a solid driver. A team needs a star; Senna is not it, but I can understand Nick been replaced. Pete
Hope Bruno brought a sheit load of cash to the deal, cause he sure a hell didn't bring much talent. Bad move Reanult.
Autosport has confirmed Bruno is in, but only for Spa due to "legal issues"..... I'm prepared to give him a chance! eek - If he can get close to Vitaly it'll be a success for him - He's never really had a fair shake in F1 thus far. We'll see...... I'd love to know how many of his money bags got passed on to Nick though! Is - I don't think the movie is anything to do with it, but I do agree that the Hulk must be sitting there going "WTF!?"..... Incidentally, Bruno is "confident" he'll have the drive in Monza, but after that (the end of the GP2 season?) Romain is also in the frame for the late flyaways. Seems to me mid-season driver changes (particularly with no testing) are a very bad idea and wreak of desperation by the team - A struggling team with two more or less rookies - How the hell can they even get a good baseline? Bad move IMO. Cheers, Ian
