Congrats Steve! Give us some history, and, of course, more pics. Looks like you purchased a great example. W
Not on this Forum yet, but thought interesteing to speak about a rare fact : A BBi sold new in the USA by ALGAR Enterprises on the 02/23/1983, that's now registered in France for @ more than 10 years, it's # 44541 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just saw this thread, so add my car: Rosso Red with Black (Red insert) interior; Federalized when imported new to US in 1983 by Amerispec Corp in Connecticut; then converted to targa top. I've owned it since 2003. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Better late than never. Just seen this thread. Originally white, steering wheel still on the right side! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fantastic Patrick. You and your dad are lucky people. Only fifteen 365BB's were produced in 1976. Would you be willing to send me the chassisnumber for my files? You can PM if you want, and I don't need personal information, just nice to know in which country the cars are and if you have a pic to post that would be the ultimate. I can also look up what information I have on your dad's car, if you want. Enjoy her in good health! Onno
Love it! Where do you store the targa top? It goes in a bag and then behind the seats. There are two leather belt-straps that run from floor to the rear inner deck area and they hold the bag/panel in place so there is no rattling. Works great! Cheers,
JazzyO- I got all excited when you said there were only 15 365 BB`s made for 1976, so i told my dad and found out it was a 1974, sorry about that. So much for the excitement...
Who made a what? It may be to the owner. Being an owner, I like the fact that there only 300 or so 365BB's on this planet. And most people would be surprised to hear that they are rarer than an Enzo. That is the only meaning behind my comment. Not everything is about money. Onno
According to the same book 238 84 injected cars were made out of which 45 at the end of the run were 52xxx serial numbers. Does that make the 84s better ....I do not think so but I feel it makes the injected cars better not because of when they were made and how many but because the ones with the latest features(injected in this case) are the most fun ones to drive! I will be doing the perpetual belt service again and for the ones interested I will be posting before and after video (with sound) with custom exhaust for the ones that would like to hear how an injected car can sound...to compare ......one needs to pay attention how they start hot or cold the second the starter engages.....never mind the torque and throttle precision when driving......the injected ones are really ....what they are! Mario
I have to say I find the Boxer section the most irritating section on F-chat. People here just can't let it go. Always with the injection vs carbs whining. Get over it and drive your car the way it was intended, and let others do the same. Onno
It is done on purpose to inform the newbies and piss off the ones that got the wrong ones....what I meant to say is the ones with the on or off throttle...........just kidding ..... Mario
