I heard from a good source that several vintage Italian showcars should be coming in from Pebble Beach for this event. They are not on the list of cars entered yet. You should plan to attend if you are in the area.

Well its this weekend. We could not ask for better weather(East coast hurricanes always clear out the Great Lakes!). Several rare Italian cars will be on display along with a large selection of 1930's Duesenberg's, Auburn's, Stutz's and other 1930's American cars. Club day also always has some very nice cars.

One of the Club Day organizers told me that they have a record number of registrations this year, for both days.

Over 230 cars registered for club day, last year there were about 160.

Over 20 Ferraris registered for club day, I believe.

Club day was nice. Weather was perfect. 50 years of Jaguar XKE brought out 22 XKE's!! Several were Pebble Beach perfect. Also some really nice Stutz models, 2 from Pebble Beach. The photo shows the Pebble Beach class winner. I love the Dino 246L with early alloy engine cover/doors and this very strange 330 with Superamerica headlights. The owner is not sure if it original. Tommorrow they bring out all the good stuff!!

The owner did not want it displayed. I think he is a New Yoker. Need I say more :)

By the way, that Alfa has a Viper chassis so it should be street legal just like the Enzo Ferrari P4/5. The other version of the TZ3 had a Maserati chassis.
They are planning on building 3 or more of these Viper chassis TZ3's and maybe even more of the Maserati version if someone buys them.

I'd argue a TZ inspired viper with an Alfa badge is even less cool...

There starts to be a point where shameless sets in and IMHO this might be one of those moments...

I need to get to this next year... thanks for the shots.

    He's from NY..

Also isn't that the case with everyone? They're always willing to build more... if someone buys them :)

You can't buy an Enzo P4/5 and never could. Several have tried. I know the TZ3 Corsa(Maserati chassis) design is owned by a German customer, so it is up to him if he wants them to make more.

You apparently haven't been to China recently :)

I was referring mostly to the big manufacturers, however, what was in Milwaukee and owned by the New Yorker is the TZ3 Stradale, which more can be made of afaik. Corsa was a one off.

This was a great concours. I attended with a vintage Mercedes-Benz of mine in the Preservation class. They treated my whole family like gold. From the formal invite to the final awards ceremony (my car was honored with 1st in class) it went without a hitch. Top flight automobiles, fantastic location and superb competition. I would highly recommend visiting it next season.
