I wish they had done it as a "race pattern" with 1st down and to the left, but oh well. I'm also interested to see the ratios/gear spacing on this....is 7th super-high for highway economy? or are all the gears just a bit closer to one another?
I'm envisioning a great tie-in campaign with 7UP! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't get why it needs to be a 7 speed - seems a bit much...maybe for autobahn a$$hauling? Regardless, its good see that Porsche hasn't flushed the manual transmission down the toilet (yet).
I don't really get it either, but we shall see. maybe it's a true fuel economy gear and top speed is achieved in 6th? and I have no problems with flushing the manual transmission...PDK/DSG/etc are better technologies. did you have a problem flushing the typewriter?
I haven't done it just yet. I've stockpiled ribbons but for the life of me I can't find that erasable typing paper anywhere.
a race pattern would have been nice, but then again most people would have been confused, but then again, the "purist", who would buy a stick, would prob like it. Im pretty sure the 7th gear is more pure eco reasons w/ max speed achieved in 6th. I bet. I just wanna know when P starts CHARGING for a stick. Could happen.
