Do you really hate a specific driver and why?

Great point, and I believe most F1 nuts would be and do exactly the same.

 

I definitely think Alonso is an ass, but I think that's why I like him.

Same goes for all my favorite drivers. Normally the more the public dislikes a guy, the more I'm on his side and vice versa.

I really don't like do-gooders. They seem so fake.

 

Then you understood the irony. Any "hatred" toward an F1 driver, or any other sportman/celebrity that a person doesn't know personally comes down to jealousy and resentment.

I don't hate any drivers, but Coulthard really gets on my nerves because he's got ****** of a personality. Eddie Jordan might be a nice guy, but I wouldn't cry if someone zip-tied his mouth shut.

 

Met him, don't like him. A philandering sort who sees anybody as fair game.

Yea hate is a bad word but I always disliked Juan Pablo Montoya. I alway thought he drove like he was in NASCAR. Oh wait. Lol. I even gave him a NASCAR nickname many years ago. J.P. Monte.

 

I don't. I think some are over rated for what they do and the claims they make.

Even my favorite drivers I have issues with from time to time. It's no different than sport teams.

I don´t know them. Most probably they all are idiots, like any person who has spent half of his life still short life driving cars and the other half waiting in an airport, and who has suddenly become rich and famous.

But I don`t have to deal with them, I only watch the cars they drive, so who cares.

Fantastic driver? I must have missed some races than. The only reason he became world champion was because his closest competeder was a rookie, and he won by just one point.

Come on mate...you have to be kidding. He was an awesome driver when he was in the zone. Some of his McLaren drives were stellar. Let's just say he was 'lucky' with Ferrari.

 

Hate is too strong a word but I dislike some of the things they do, top of the list being senna taking out prost in japan 1990. Pure ***** move. Same for schumey in 1997. Fia stripped ms of all his points, same should have happened to senna but I digress. I could make a list of good n bad attributes of each driver (seperate thread?) but as Andreas mentions above Lauda imho was the smartest AND CLEANEST driver I've ever seen. Andretti said niki was possibly the only driver he felt comfortable racing with cause niki wouldn't do anything silly.
