After reading the threads, it appears the Blinder (M27 or M47) are exc laser jammers. I like the Passport 9500 series for radar detectors. I'm a little torn between the 9500ci (built-in + laser shifter) and 9500ix (dash mount). If I wasn't getting the Blinder laser jammers then I'd get the built in for sure (it has laser shifers as well). Since I'm getting the Blinder laser jammers, then I really only need the Passport 9500ix (dash). Any thoughts? Which would you go with?
    1. Passport 9500ci (built-in unit + has mediocre laser jammer)
    2. Passport 9500ix (dash radar and laser detector) + Blinder M27 (exc built in laser jammer)
    3. Passport 9500ci + Blinder M27 (best of both, except redundant on laser jamming).

The M27 has 2 trasnmitters (for front of car), the M47 has 4 units (has 2 add'l units for back of car). I can't see paying the extra $ plus all the trouble of the extra installation cost of having 2 units in the back because frankly I don't think I'll be lasered too often from behind. Your thoughts? Anyone with M27 regret not getting the M47?

Looks like there are plenty of good options for hiding the units-- in the front use the front grills. In the back besides the rear diffuser. Any one with installation experience, please chime in.

I use Target (le850?) laser jammers, excellent results, no need for radar in the UK these days as it's rare

9500ix (passenger side / bottom corner windshield mount) + Li is my vote.

Refining my choices now. Leaning towards the 9500xi as Ttdang suggests, only issue with dash mount is theft/hassle of stowing it away when I park (spider and I usually have the top down).

What do you guys with hardwired dashmounts do when you park (with top down)?
    1. Put top up and lock car
    2. Disconnect radar and put away
    3. Nothing

Regarding the Blinder27 vs Laser Interceptor it's quite hard to distinguish the web feedback as some of the sites like radardectors.xyz radarbusters.whatever or whatever they are all called etc are affiliated with LI and it appears some of the tests and posts are not independent. The one common theme is that both co's appear to be the 2 best, and LI is a Croatian guy vs Blinder is a Danish Co.. In my eyes (not necessarily independent tests) Blinder appears to be slightly more legit. There has been some documentation showing LI had GOL do a test but using a non-retail version of the LI, some poor customer service by LI and USA office closings and re-openings by LI. Whereas Blinder has been a stable co with no shenanigans, holds patents and has even sued too defend their patents. Make me trust Blinder more. JMO.

I will hard wired the 95001x right next to the rear view mirror. you have better reception when the radar detector is ion a higher position.

I always have the top up when I parked my car bcuz you neer know what people will do. no need to remove the detector in this case

Not sure if the blinder we have here is the same (in the US, sometimes models are named differently - Snickers was Marathon for years in the UK, and only changed 10 years ago - but I tried bliinder on a Maserati a number of years ago (2003/4 I think) and it didnt work that well, whereas the Target kit has withstood every police attack it came across so far

I just ordered the Escort Passport 9500xi dash mount + hardwire kit, aonline a minute ago so that parts decided. I plan on hardwiring under rear veiw mirror and putting top up as DL99TT suggested. Once I get that project completed an installed I'll move forward with the next phase (laser jammer) and look into those later.

After more research ordered the Laser Interceptor (Gen8). Once the Passport 9500 xi + Laser Interceptor are installed, I post follow-up feedback.

Any special reason you decided on LI instead of Blinder? Initially it seemed like you were leaning towards the M27. I'm thinking about either LI or M27 also.
