    Having one of my best drives on Mullholland. Night sky was beautiful, crescent moon shunning down... Hit a pothole and lost my radio. Whole stereo cut out. Seems to not have any power.

    Any ideas where I begin to diagnose the problem?

    Fuse?
    wires?

    Was rocking to to Motley Crüe. Maybe the car is a critic?

    Check in back of the radio for wire connectors and the ground. One may have come loose. Check the fuses as well, it may have shorted out on that big bump. If it did, you still have a wire issue.

    Easiest first; fuses and wire connections there. Then pull the radio. Should come out like any other. Detents buried in either holes or slots on the sides of the face plate.

    Maybe your car was scared for it's life... Hearing Crue blasting through it's veins may have reminded it of the tragic fate of a certain Pantera and a passenger nemed Razzle... ended very badly. Vince Neil at the wheel.

    Effin CA potholes; I have a post about what happened to me when I hit one a coupla months ago. Sorry this happened, but glad it was only the radio ;-)
