Does anyone know if the Felpro 8194 cross-ref for the 308 also works for the 328?

I'd like to have a couple on hand before I pull the cat; i have a feeling they will need to be replaced.

Although not 100% sure, the GT4 and GTSi I seriously doubt. The QV is a big May-be. The non cat and dual cat cars had smaller diameter pipes IIRC than the single cat varients.

Can anyone of the really smart guys/gals confirm?

Thanks, Mark. I'd order direct replacements if they aren't outrageous. However, Ricambi doesn't list them as available.

By the way, i hope the rehab is progressing apace. It is awfully good to see you posting again :)

Before you buy OEM check search and the parts sticky above. IIRC someone found Volvo or some other make fit perfectly for like $3 a piece.

Just found this on the crossrefernce stickie.

BTW are you installing the Fabspeed Hi Flow Cat?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have found a perfect match for the Exhaust Donut gasket on the QV engines at NAPA Auto Parts.

    It is a FELPRO PN# 8194. Originally GM V8 1935-1987 Exhaust Pipe Flange/Ring

    $1.99 each

Also, the exhaust flange bolts are 2 3/4 inch long 8mm standard threat (since they tend to break when they are old)

    $0.70 each

Just take an old donut to napa and get an approximate match, should be fine

The 1984-1985 USA QV (not the 1983) uses the exact same muffler and cat as the 328.

    Thanx Mike.

Hate giving out bad or incomplete poop.

NOTE: FOR the exhaust bolts use M8.8 (OEM part btw) or the US equivilant. Regular bolts will fatigue in short order and shear from the heat.

Ok, after some investigation and trips to NAPA, here's what we know about exhaust donuts:

    2V 308s can use Felpro 8194

    4V EURO 308s can use BMW 18 11 1 723 539

After much trial & error at NAPA, i could not find a suitable alternative, so...

OEM Ferrari part # 121426 is NLA

    HOWEVER

OEM Ferrari part # 154984 is an identical substitute, which fits:
    - US 308QV (84-85 only, Thanks Mike)
    - 328
    - Mondial 3.2
    - Testarossa
    - 512M
    - 430 Scuderia
    - Racing exhaust-fitted 430

Can someone clarify the flange donuts needed for the 1980 308 2V?

Here is what I know from the parts diagrams.....

#26 part #103377 is now new part #146698 size 65x51.5x18......4 are needed
#27 part #111693 is now new part #147828 size 58x46x17 .......2 are needed

I cannot tell in the exploded diagram where the 2 go and where the 4 go....all mine are rusty seized seals. Does anyone know where the #26s go and where to put the #27s?

This post says the Felpro 8194 Is the donut to use for the 2V

The Fel-Pro 8194 is an exhaust pipe flange gasket that is made with a steel core laminate construction. It has a 2” inside diameter, a 2.5” outside diameter, and is 0.625” thick. It is tapered on both sides.

    - but for which one? All 6? or the 4? I guess I need to buy one at NAPA and see the fit. The exhaust flange piping is 1.75" in diameter (44mm) so I would think the 2" ID would be too large.

I’ve never done this but I’d guess the 4 #26s would go where the blue circles are and the 2 #27s would go where the red circles are.
I’d want to confirm with someone who has actually done this before to be certain though.
    Cheers

The 2 catalytic converters are identically the same.....hence the confusion why the smaller #27s on one and larger #26s on the other......it's a good guess though.
