Does anyone know if Ferrari, FOA, or FCA will have reserved seating or a tent at Baltimore Grand Prix?

Interesting question, I am in for that answer as well. Baltimore is only 45 minutes from me and I am still on the brink if I want to drive down or up lol

I'll be going down with a few friends. Probably only for Saturday or Sunday though. Not sure about Ferrari reserved seating.. I doubt it. I haven't heard anything about that. GA tix are $25.

FCA Mid Atlantic region has teamed up with the local lambo club for grandstand seating at turn 10 and a car corral inside the track for exotics. check out www.midatlanticlambos.com for more info

Unfortunately, FNA is not doing their VIP package deal in conjunction with the Baltimore ALMS race- I inquired some time ago, but was told that only selected races are offered, and that doesn't include Baltimore this year.

Yeah, I had checked as well. I'm sure everyone received the email by now, but the only Ferrari NA VIP Event left is at Petite LeMans at the end of September, at Road Atlanta. I can't wait!!

Coming up from DC, does anyone think parking at BWI and taking in the light rail would be a good option? I saw it recommended on the GP but have no experience with BWI or Baltimore's light rail. Thanks!

Not a bad idea, the light rail stops right across from the Baltimore Convention Center which is only a few blocks from the race. Sounds like a better idea than trying to park in the city with that mess going on. A tip for riding the light rail, bring close to exact change, it dispenses those pointless $1 coins. Unless you enjoy sounding like a pirate with a pocket full of coins :)

Love the $1 coins. I wish the country would get rid of paper ones like every other developed country has. What a waste of money to print a bill that won't even buy a cup of coffee, and needs to be replaced every 18 months at a cost of $0.042. That's a 3% loss on our money every year. A recent study showed:

"However, the most important facts include the
lifetime for the coin and note, 30 years and 1.5 years respectively, and the recycling and disposal
of the two types of dollars. The coin is completely recycled into the production process after
leaving circulation, where 90% of the dollar note is placed in landfill after leaving circulation.
Based on our conclusions, we were able to recommend that the one-dollar note be phased out and
completely replaced by the coin dollar."

    Guys,
I have also lost touch with much of the F-Gang due to all of my travels. Mr. Tire has a 40'x40' tent at the Baltimore Grand Prix. We will have two to three Race Cars, a Race Simulator, Pirelli Model, Falken Models, Yokohama Models, the Michelin Man, Driver Autographs, Raven's Cheerleaders, Raven's Mascot, door prizes, etc. Please stop by, it would be great to catch up with some of you guys, and meet some new friends with the same passions.

    Regards,

    JT

    P.S.
I still have my 07 F430 F1 and enjoy it as much now as I did 4 years ago!

Joe, where will the tent be located?

I think the light rail will be a good option. I am taking the subway in from Owings Mills for the race on Saturday.

I was there last night for the setup of the corral and paddocks. It is shaping up to be an amazing event.

We are lucky to have such a high level of motorsports come to our metro area. If we support the first year, the race will come back.

If it continues to be successful, other series may be attracted to the area. If other series come, we might get a new racetrack near the Balt-DC area that could host F1 or other series.

Before we know it, Balt-DC becomes a "car town" like Montreal, Indy, etc.

Even if you're just a car enthusiast and not a racer, we all benefit by attending and supporting these events.

See ya at the Bud Zone and Mr. Tire tent tomorrow!

I might go on Sunday, is it possible to buy tickets at the "gate", or do you have to buy them online? Just for anyone going, there is a Black Aventador that should be there for the whole weekend.
    Thanks,
    Jared

The race is from 2:45 - 4:45 (75 laps) and will be televised on Versus. Today's ALMS race is on VS (Channel 44 in Montgomery County) at 6 pm. Actual race is scheduled for 3:30 pm, but a current thunderstorm may or may not change that. What a fantastic sight! I would encourage any car guy to come up here and check this out!
