I think this Dino is on offer at Nick Cartwright since 2007....
    Must be expensive.

Stunning blue exterior color (06250), but what's with the purple carpets?

Not quite; the car was sold by NC in 2007 (after they restored it) and came back on to the market in July this year. It' interesting because Cartwright used to sell more Dinos than anyone and led the price in the UK. In the past few years they have sold fewer than they used to and have stopped advertising prices. They always used to be "market plus a bit."

Data on the 1,109 Dinos advertised in the UK, manually collated by me since I started it about 5 years ago - and given to the dino register. Split between advertised and actual auction prices.

I have noticed that they also stopped having as many Dino's for sale.

I don't know if this is by choice or what has caused this. Nick has one of the best reputations for Dino's that I know of in the UK.

He told me that he was stopping restoring them maybe three/four years ago. He said that it wasn't making any economic sense at that time, although subsequent prices would have made stock piling a pretty good, if illiquid investment.

Without wanting to rumour monger, I heard that one of his key restoration people either retired or left and that was a contributory factor. He has been Mr Dino in the UK for maybe two decades, so it's a bit sad.

HSK222 is one of the nicest Dinos I've ever seen up close. Looks great, great colour combination. I'm about £95,000 short if anyone wants to loan me some money? Or can offer a P/Ex on my 2001 Peugeot Estate? Anyone?

There is a guy in the midlands who used to work for Nick and did many top end resto's, he keeps a low profile but the work is fantastic. He is currently restoring 9 Dinos (allegedly including Eric Claptons old one) and a Daytona. I will try and get some pics off him. If you want his details let me know

Thank you, it started out as an academic research data set and has become a bit of an obsessive compulsive thing since.

Not purple, it's a 'royal blue' that Ferrari used, and it doesn't tie into the exterior paint "exactly".

That shade depicted is what I have in my #22641 308GTB.

I have only seen that one shade of blue carpet in any '70s example.

"The very special Dino we are offering for sale here is in the most sought after specification. It is 1 of only 5 UK supplied rare 'Chairs and Flares' model with Flared arches, Daytona seats and Campagnolo alloy wheels. Other options ordered new were electric windows, radio and headlamp covers. This car has only covered 10,595 miles from new (Warranted) and is a multiple Concours winning car. Apart from some minor paint rectification in the early 90s, this car is totally original throughout and is just as it was when it left the factory. It even still has the polythene on the door sills. It comes complete with a HUGE history file, original handbooks, wallet, tool kit, jack, spare key, workshop manual, spare parts catalogue and factory Dino literature. This is a fantastic opportunity to buy a 'time warp' example of this truly great Ferrari sports car, which would enhance any collection."

Any ideas where this one came from and what it's story is?

Looks fantastic..........One of only 5?? that puts me off his credentials straight away?
Did the engine/cam covers look like that when it came out of the factory? Would the polythene on the sills look like that after all this time? and does the underneath of the right hand rear bumper quarter look bent up?
"As it was when it left the factory" with Ferrari script and horsey???.............other than that utterly beautiful

It appears to be number 07168. Last known owner by the Dino register - until 1996 - was in Edinburgh, Scotland.

It looks to be in fantastic condition. Finally, there is an engine compartment that looks like it should for the mileage, and for the amount of money they probably are expecting!
