Beautiful color - reminds me of Lambo's Monetery Blue. However, the orange peel effect in the last picture is simply horrid. Inexcusable for a premium car paintjob. Wow :|
Yes, only the yellow one... I've searched on internet another one but nothing... SA Aperta is most beautiful with "normal" hood !
the last shot...the rear shot of the red car... Points out how well the designer cleaned up and integrated the 'roll bars' compared to the 550 Barchetta. I saw a Barchetta recently where the owner had removed them completely. Did wonders for the looks; not so much for the rollover protection.

That one is optioned UP! $8K luggage, out of range paint, someone knows how to live!!! That's a beautiful example, (are there any ugly ones?? )
Wow.... that almost looks funny to see that kind of number on an MSRP label, you're right the profit on this thing has got to be a cash cow... I have 100 bucks it costs them like 100K or less to make this thing.
Off topic a bit, but the Scud and 16M seem like a bargain when you start adding up all that carbon and other goodies that come standard with them.. I always thought porsche was the real devil in pricing options up that really should be standard based on MSRP
Fair enough not R&D costs... true hard items, like materials and labor to close this baby out. things that they have volume pricing or even preferred vendors giving up discounts to stay vendors of choice. Either way even if we're talking 150K this is a serious business!
Now it's clear what Ferrari's marketing strategy is: release "special" versions of standard production cars toward the end of their model run, some in limited #'s, and charge a fortune's worth of a premium for it. An Aperta is double the price of the car it's based on (the 599). And I thought Porsche's 997 speedster was expensive! I guess at the Aperta's price, what difference is a few hundred thou, anyway, right?
You could buy half a neighborhood of condos in Florida for the price of that. That owner must have some serious cash to blow. Im happy for him because the car is actually good looking, has the right (all) options and it will bring him many miles of open roof happiness. I say that because thats how I would feel if it were me
saw one at Ferrari of Central Florida last week. Nice looking beast... Love the little touch with the emboidered Cavallino on the fabric top. The first thing I thought of was, "Scuderia, Stradale, 599..." That's far too much money for badly stitched perma-convertible.
J K, Thanks for posting. Do you or anyone else here have any idea what that color is? -F Edit: It looks like the "new" red for the F1 cars, what is that again?
Im not sure of the color personally I dont like the Burgundy Metallic. Its quite a cost it was a custom color
