That car used to belong to scott40; original owner was Stuart Hayim of Ferrari of Long Island fame.

    Damn!

Well Stuart only owned it for two months before selling it to someone else - but I don't know if that guy is on here. So Hawkeye, scott40 - who are the other two people?

A guy named Terrance McKay owned it before me- think that was his name. He sold it to FoW and from there it went to Beverly Hills Classic Cars which is where I bought it. There was an owner between Stuart and McKay who is also an Fchatter, Tom. He almost bought it from me last summer.

It's a nice car. Anyone serious can pm me. I did a lot of work going back on all the service records.

134226 is up on ebay for another day or so:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-FERRARI-CHALLENGE-STRADALE-Low-Miles-Great-Deal-Offers-over-120K-/320757016188?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4aae9ba67c

Is 134226 "storied" or has it just been down some gravely roads? The chin nick is visible on the ebay photos, and is inevitable (though should have been fixed). The hood appears to have been fixed with nail polish (gee gads...). The description on ebay lists other paint nicks, but no photos.

I suppose the paint could be sorted out. But is there more to its history?

See this thread. I posted links to carfax and autocheck. Clean, but 6 prior owners:

ETA: looks like my free link to carfax expired, but the autocheck still works.

Timely question, just finished posting the answer minutes ago here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=337654

I'm leaning more toward seeing where prices go Jan/Feb for those creme puff's sitting at $150k. I'd like to find a ~12k, perfectly serviced low number of owner example for $120-$130k in rossa corsa. I've got good uses for cash in the next few months anyway.

I'll check out the GT2. You'll have a blast with it. I got my 996tt back from MAG today and was delighted to hear they fixed my boost problem for $120 total, yet, driving it back, not fixed :(. .4 bar still instead of 1.1 bar. I miss the power already. First non-maintenance issue I've had with the car in 20 months of ownership besides an ignition switch/lock replacement.

In short, yes. If you are interested in the car, I would have a thorough PPI done before any serious negotiation.
