    bizzarre isn't it? They must do too much focus group testing in the US. Get a room full of target middle aged, middle class buyers then show them pictures. Anything that doesn't look exactly like the existing 911 gets rejected.

    It's not bizarre. It's good marketing to give the customer what he wants. It'd be a brave person to completely redesign the world's most successful sports car and face the risk it might fail in the market.

    but if Ferrari or Lambo tried that they'd still be pushing umpty-nine facelifted versions of the 246 Dino and Miura. Instead, they have real designers who delight us with a new masterpiece of automotive art every 3-5 years.

    Porsche are just boring and they obviously think their customers are boring too. Hang on, I've just solved the puzzle! :)
