Cruising yesterday in mt '01 360, was going to run through the gears. Stomped on the gas in low gear and the normal thrust was not there. Looked at the gauges and holy S!!! -water AND oil temps both into the red. Worse yet oil pressure is way down. Pulled over and opened the hood expecting a heat wave from a very hot motor. Strangely everything seemed about normal. I waited about ten minutes then slowly opened the water tank. The level was normal. Started the car and checked the oil- also OK, pressure OK too. Drove 30 km home and all was well. Ideas?

Interesting; would like to know if ECU would curtail performance as you experienced in the face of only an electronic reading malfunction of the water temp and oil pressure, when mechanically, these parameters are normal (as you noted on restart)? Any info from members?........

There are not multiple sensors on the 360(one for the dash, one for the ecu). If the gauges are running that high, then it means that either a.) you are overheating or b.) something is wigging out on the sensor side or the ecu side. As the previous poster mentioned, clean and check connections first, then get an infrared heat gun and verify actual temperature. THe low oil pressure usually signifies an overly hot condition as the oil becomes very thin, so I would definitely keep a close eye on everything.
