Good evening, It is a Copper Tube and fin Condenser, for R-12 refrigerant (very old design). You should take the main dimensions (length, height and width), diameters of the Inlet (Biggest Tube) and Outlet (Smallest Tube). With his information, you could then contact a website like Classic Auto Air to get a more modern Condenser (Parallel flow or Serpentine design) for use with R-134a. Even though they make systems for american muscle cars (technically very similar to your A/C), they should be able to help. Link: http://www.classicautoair.com/ PS: I work in an Automotive Air Conditioning manufacturer outside US, I am not involved with Classic Auto Air. Regards,
i replaced the condenser in my '66 gtc, but don't know off hand from whence it came. if you're interested, send me a PM and i'll look it up. Well worth the change. Don't forget to change out the drier. steve
Looks like the same style of modern replacement that I bought for my Dino (classic Condensors Inc, or something like that - I'll have to find the box). Increases A/C and for the $200+ is well worth it. Also, correct fitting replacement compressors are available for $350 and they have Vito seals that can handle R-12, R-134a, R-22 and more. A big plus is that they move 40% CFM. But that is just one side of the refrigerant cycle; there are cooling gains to be made on both the evaporator and the ventilation fans.
