Cool Braun. How does it run. I wanted one of his pieces a few years ago but was warned against.

    Thank you, Ray. :)

    MJA,

Funny you ask. It's going back to Martin Braun tomorrow, for the second time in 7 months, to get the blue earth to stop skipping ahead. I own 4 Brauns: 3 autos and one manual. The two cheaper models have been flawless, but the Heliozentric runs slow, losing about 5-10 minutes per week, and the Selene was originally running fast and now loses about 3-4 minutes per week. The moon and date have been perfect, though.

What were the stories that you heard? Similar?

Thus far, Martin Braun's office has performed all adjustments at no charge to me, but it's been a hassle to have to send the watches back to Germany repeatedly.

How many watches do you own anyway? You seem to list a new one every other day or so.

Interesting, can you pm me their contact info? It would be greatly appreciated as I have a perpetual calendar that needs service. I have tried to find someone at Martin Braun but they have been unresponsive. Thanks!

    Ray,

Lawrence Rubin, the former U.S. Distributor, is out of business. Our contact is:

    Julie Huguet
    Sales Coordinator
    Franck Muller, Rodolphe, Martin Braun
    Route de Malagny, 22
    CH-1294 Genthod
    +41 22 959 88 88
    www.franckmuller.com
    [email protected]

And she has instructed us to forward the watch to:

    Franck Muller USA
    Martin Braun After Sales
    207 West 25th St 8th floor
    NY, NY 10001-7119

So that the New York office could forward it to her. Hope this helps. My wife just informed me that it's Franck Muller's operations, not Martin Braun himself, who is servicing the watches now.

Actually I had heard they run worse than this so it seems you have had good luck. I always wanted one of the Eos line. Sunrise Sunset model

I own about 60 but only wear about 25 monthly. Typically a different everyday.

    IWC Portuguese Chrono. Not steel!

The 7 day has the in-house movement, display back, and the massive power reserve, but I like the portuguese chrono look better, and it's less expensive too. In the end, I found a great deal on a used chrono that was too good to pass up. Checking IWC off the list!

Attractive watch - almost a cross between an IWC body and Eberhard 4-dial face. Looks considerably more expensive.

Have you tried Franck Muller via the contact info above? They've been very helpful. The problem is that Martin Braun himself left Franck Muller, and the original Austin-based rep has left the industry altogether. I guess that's one of the problems with buying a product from a new, small-volume independent. :(

I wear an A II Z chronograph; white and black face with red accents. Has a sporty rubber strap. I've had it for well over three years...still haven't had to change the battery! I love it.

i had tried the Austin based one, said they would send a replacement gold screw for the band( make sure you check yours because they become loose very easy) but never came after months of trying,.Thank god i found a guy that i purchased a few from him and a couple of replacement alligator bands..Thanks for the heads up...:)

I was given that watch by my friend for being in his wedding party. He got each of us a watch that would mean something to us...he said he was sorry he couldn't buy me a real Ferrari watch (who would expect one as a gift for being in a wedding party), but when I wear it, it does remind me of his wedding, which is nice.
