Well, if I would not have swapped out Denny Hamlin for Jimmy Johnson I would have been fine. I also elected to keep Dave Blaney and bench David Ragan, trying to conserve 'starts'. I got 207 points outta this one. WOO HOO...my third win of the year! Great way to enter the chase/playoffs...I'm < 100 pts behind Koford for the overall lead. Shake n Bake! SRB
From a Nebraska grad. Um, kind of looks like you... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYYaRTQdKcg[/ame] That said, you yahoos (pun intended) need to look at the official standings before you call me out! The totals in the summary posted by Mr. Whisky don't account for the "lucky dog" scoring, i.e. dropping of the lowest race. Below are the aforementioned "official standings". My TX/OK/TN/WV/MS/LA sourced edumacation tells me I'm < 100 behind, 96 to exact. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Remember our conversation from earlier? Don't piss me off - I'm the commish - teams have disappeared off the radar from 'unknown technical difficulties', LOL. I was just looking at the point totals that were listed, I screwed up. I guess I AM a 'Nebraska' grad, even though it was not NU down in Lincoln.
That damned commish is an idiot. He didn't see where the lowest score PER SEGMENT is dropped, he thought it was the lowest week OF THE ENTIRE SEASON. As in, just the one lowest week anyone had. This will still be interesting, I wonder how many folks have conserved starts for Ragan and Menard? Oh well, Fantasy Football is here, that's where my efforts go now.
Your words, not mine...sir! Yep, I can see where this could really skew the results of a close points total. For discussion's sake, assume the top two teams are tied after all races but before the lucky dog is applied. The driver that had the lower "lucky dog" points (i.e. scored less thus did worse!) would win the title because less points would be deducted/dropped from his/her total points. This is why I'm <200 behind the leader based on total points but only <100 after the lucky dog. I scored less points in my dropped race(s) than the leader in their dropped race(s) thus has a bigger hit to their total points than mine, which narrowed the point gap. If I win the title, it's a fair rule and we all must play by the rules; if I lose, it's a farce and the commish should be dealt with accordingly. No comment. Quitter!
That was the intention. I think we have already determined how this GLITCH happened. (see #1 above) none needed. Who said anything about quitting? I sure didn't!
Gordon calls Menard's radio chatter 'a little fishy' snippet: Maybe one of 'em needs to move Nelson Piquet Jr from trucks to cup.
http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/cup/story/_/id/6976951/clint-bowyer-close-joining-michael-waltrip-racing The best part of above is that Waltrip has the resources to expand; that's good news for the sport.
MWR seems to have all the right ingredients to make the move to the top echelon of NASCAR teams; I'd like to see them do it.
Bowyer needs to win a race, or at least be more competitive in the ones he SHOULD do well in, everyone else in RCR is winning, well, except for that Burton guy.
Yep, I was just checking nascar.com and it sounds like they will try to race tonight but when is TBD. NASCAR said "Looking at a 7-7:30 ET start" on Twitter but they've missed that.
