Good God...must resist urge to...rob a bank...want...so bad...
i was thinking, either a heat reistant (a la oven glass) non removable 'sunroof' on the roof panel lined up with the glass decklid when top is down. or a large center section being like 575 SA, using (expensive) heat resistant revochromic glass? course the side of the roof (window rails) could be body color matching preserving some roofline. that way engine is visable with top both up and down...
Not sure two layers of glass would be particularly elegant. I think they should have found a way for the roof section to go down vertically behind the seats. Then, of course, there would have been the issue of losing that bit of storage space behind the seats. Sure they could have figured that out, though.
Rear deck looks great but it's so bland in this area compared to the coupe, almost Lotus like... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks awesome. The rear 3/4 is amazing. This is the best looking product to leave the factory in a long time. Where is mine????
Agreed. The rear 3/4 view is the best looking in a long time. There's a subtle hint of the 246 Dino there.
No, I disagree. But, I think that they will be really too small so they decided it wasn't worth it. I would be shocked if someone in the aftermarket isn't looking at it right now. I still like it without the glass. My Dino didn't have a glass cover and for some reason, I never missed it!
Agreed - looks great from the rear 3/4. Looks like it needs careful color choice to avoid washing out the delicious curves and really bring out the best in this design. A clear winner!
Love that swooping rear wing. Of all the ways the could have handled it, I don't think it could have been done better. I really wonder how you service the engine with the front cover there....
Call me crazy but that area reminds me of the same on the F50, even has the "cut line". Pic source via Google Image Unavailable, Please Login
There are some similarities but imagine how much better the F50 would look without that huge Honda looking wing. To me, there's a stronger lineage back to the Boxer, at least in side profile and proportions. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, there are similarities. Rather unfortunate as the F50 was hardly Pininfarina's greatest moment. It's a shame that that area I circled has turned out so 'bread van' as the rest of the alterations are great, especially the rear deck. That swoop at 3/4 was the one element they should have moved heaven and earth to preserve.
Damn...those are great pics...I like it more and more with every picture I see!! Still love my coupe...but man this is hot
The doors looked great but cost a fortune Most interesting option IMO was the Carbon Fibre with the red stripe running through it Not sure if it's already been mentioned but the speaker setup is different in the spider
