kerim, Do you ever go in the Lone Wolf?
Thats a nice looking stash there, the Hoyos are nice but for the complexity and sheer pleasure of flavors I recommend trying out the Partagas Lusitanias next time, as these things are subjective but still I can say it is easily one of the all time greats, the Punch Double is very good as well and so is the Ramon Allones Gigantes, just excellent and complex. If you haven't tried the Cohiba Double Corona yet I do have to warn you its a tough cigar with a lot of flavor and strength, doesn't pull any punches where the others do their thing in a subtle and smooth manner. I had a question though, has the embargo ended? or are you allowed to sell Cubans in Vegas? S
i did not get the cubans in vegas, those i got from a guy in atlantis...I will try the Partagas next time, I also like the Punch Double.. How about the Punch Poderosos SWISS Regional Production 2009?? have you tried those? Thanks!
Now THAT'S an all-day smoke! ...and I'm sure there's something worth sampling in that cellar as well!
Just curious if anyone here has a line on any of these... had a couple of them going back a few months ago - basically tripped over them in a local shop by accident, and of course now they're but a memory. Wouldn't mind finding a few more.
If anyone here is planning on attending the Big Smoke in Vegas (Oct. 28 - 30) I'd recommend looking into the VIP event put on by Serious Cigars from Houston. I signed up, and I know its limited to 50 tickets only, so it may already be too late. I have no affiliation other than a friend in Houston who buys his cigars there. The $50 ticket price is an absolute bargain when you see what previous years have included. It may be a better deal than the Big Smoke ticket itself! Their website is www.seriouscigars.com but you have to call if you want to join the party.
For some reason, Trinidad seems to be discontinuing this great smoke. They claimed it was supposed to be limited, which usually goes away if the cigar catches on or is very good. Doesn't seem to be the case here. I've been on Cigarbid all week buying up as many 10 and 5 pack Robustos as I can. I still have some Toros leftover from my first box that I'll probably continue to preserve. What a shame, they were so delicious! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Darth, I just got a deal on a box of Cifuentes for $50. They just arrived at the house so I'll lay em down for a couple weeks but I'll report back! Cigarinternational.com had a deal on em. For $2.50 a smoke I don't care if they're terrible. I'll give out to casual cigar guys at poker games.
Nice. I hope you like them. I have been getting Padilla's from them for a while, smoking a Cazadores now as a matter of fact!
I just did the CI deal too. I thought the Cifuentes were above average, not bad. However, I had the Gloria Cubano serie N last night, and man was it afwul! Looking forward to smoking the Cusano Maduros
Speaking of big smokes.... I took my big "A" size Padron on a golf outing weekend. I cut it in half and smoked half and gave the other half to a buddy of mine. I don't think I could have gotten all the way through it myself. But I will say the half I smoked was one of the only ones I had all weekend that I took all the way down to the nub...and then some. I love these cigars.
