I'd say a very dark non-metallic purple blue.

Pozzi is a non metallic dark blue, about one shade lighter than midnight blue and one shade darker than Royal Blue.

With poor lighting or at night, its almost impossible to distinguish it from black.

Pozzi Blue is sharp. My local dealer had one with Yellow Ceramic calibers and Cuoio interior and the car looked stunning!

I don't think it would be any more difficult to keep clean than one of the Nero cars. I really like the Pozzi Blue and the TDF Blue. They look great in person.

OK then, how about named after the Mirabeau region in southern France, and it's blue because that's the traditional color of French racing cars?

nope, now you are straying from the target...it does in fact have to do with the mirabeau corner on the monaco circuit. but why blue, and that shade?

need4spd has been a good sport and given it a shot. i am leaving for a track day, so i will divulge all now.

at what is known as the mirabeau corner on the monaco circuit, there used to be a hotel, called hotel mirabeau. the building is still there now but no longer a hotel. it had a great big art deco awning and a big sign with blue lettering. it is the shade of blue from that sign that is used for blu mirabeau.

here is an artist's rendering of fangio taking the corner in 1955 with the hotel in the background:
    http://www.thememorabiliaexperience.com/vintage-f1-artwork/mirabeau1955.jpg

and here is a picture of stewart taking the same corner in 1967:

i stumbled upon this years ago when i found an old postcard of the hotel and asked a former ferrari employee about it.
