    I went to the Asian premier of Senna last night. I'd resisted watching it on the small screen as I wanted that big screen experience the first time I saw it, & I wasn't disappointed.

    As a documovie I thought it was brilliant, & I was amazed at the amount of film footage they had of the great man.

    When the words Imola 1994 appeared on the screen part of me wanted to stand up at walk out, not wanting to see the tragic end of what was a remarkable man, career & life. And I'm not ashamed to say that I did shed a tear.

    Given the amount of footage made
    available by Bernie it makes me wonder what other potential documovies lie in the F1 archives if someone has the time & inclination to troll through them.

    So I pose this question. If you could make a Senna-esque documovie from the F1 archives (assuming it goes back to the earliest days of the sport) what period, drivers, rivalries would you focus on?

    Maybe we can spur enough interest to make it happen.

    "Bernie Ecclestone"....The story of a Modern Day Empire.

    ....I got a million of them. If edited correctly, and with today’s technology, you could make a Movie each year covering the previous season leading up to preseason testing and release just before the season opener...It would create a following. Tie it into the game station crowd... maybe even tap into some of their resources ($).

    What about all the second generation F1 drivers? That would be a look into a privileged lifestyle I think many would enjoy...Maybe Nico as the Next James Bond?

    First choice would be pre-F1. The 1935 Nurburgring victory by Nuvolari in an old Alfa over the might of the Auto Union team.

    Word on the street is that the people that did the Senna documentary are going to follow it up with one about Verstappen.

    I want to see behind the scenes footage from the factories. I don't think anything would be more interesting than watching experimentation and development of parts/cars.

    How about Jackie Stewart.. that would span from the '60s to his involvement today. And highlight all the safety developments he pushed for.

    James Hunt without a doubt. It'll be like one giant sex & coke orgy, but with F1 cars added and some boxing. Whats not to like?

    Saying that, a sequel could be made featuring the life of porno Maxxx, it'll be a lot of pretending not to have done coke with a bunch of drivers, lawyerism and sex. Just need to find an actor that looks like him, throw a bucket of water over his face for the climax scenes :D

    Jackie Stewart had an interesting journey.

    But Unfortunately any documentary made about a drivers pre 1970's, even early 1980's is going to be limited due to the lack of in-depth footage to tell the story compared to what was available for the Senna film.
    Supposedly the first edits for the Senna movie were 3 times the length.

    I would like to see an "access all areas" documentary made around the modern F1 over a season.
    Not just about the teams and drivers, but also about the goings on behind the scenes of the FIA, FOM, Major Sponsors and even the circuit owners and promoters.
    It would be great to see what goes on in the FIA steward meeting after track incidents for example,

    Thanks for that I have seen it, but your right it is good viewing.

    Me likes watching Mosley twisting and squirming when questioned about his spanking session.

    Why does Mosley think he is above the common thought processes of reasonable people!! when in fact he is a ..100% scum bag, caught bang to rights. hahahaha..:D

    Interesting times indeed;

    - The drivers strike (!) & unsanctioned South African GP.
    - FISA-FOCA war
    - The Concorde (1981)
    - The tragic loss of Gilles :(
    - Water cooled brakes (Always liked that one!)
    - Flexi suspension (to circumvent the minimum ride height rule)
    - Ferrari's "dual" rear wing - "The wing's not too big, we've just installed two of 'em!

    Exactly my thinking (almost...;)), Ian.

    More documentary drama to keep anyone interested following the entire season, particularly if one isn't exactly certain who claimed the elusive '82 title.

    Additionally ....

    -the last of the competitive DFVs
    -the last of the Matra V12s
    -ELEVEN different race winners (okay, I love dnfs...)
    -10 drivers in the hunt with three races remaining
    -Turbos bubbling under...
    -last chance to witness the incomparable Mario and Carlos in F1
    -Pironi's points lead and final year in F1
    -unfortunately, a second tragedy.
