Found the original color inside my car... The Azzurro Metallizzato is like new. Image Unavailable, Please Login
A year ago last May, while I was leaving my mechanic's shop, my wife accidently ran into the rear right bumper of our '73 Dino (05738) thinking I'd driven off from the stop sign at the end of the street when I hadn't. It turned out to be a bit of a blessing in disguise as we found a lot of rust in the process of putting on new bumpers. So I bit the bullet and decided to have the car stripped to bare metal and repainted. When I bought the car from Shelton Ferrari nine years ago it was Rosso Chiaro (first pic). After reviewing the colors collected by Jon I elected to go with Rosso Bordeaux. I also had the rims stripped and painted the correct color that Jon has also identified. The car looks fantastic and draws a crowd whenever its parked. The work was done by Vernon Vatter in Southampton, N.Y. and he did a terrific job especially on all four flared fenders which he comletely refabricated. This Sunday, Sept. 18th, the car will be entered be at the Fairfield County Concours d'Elegance in Westport, CT, and if any Ferrarichat members are there please stop by and say hello. Still no sign of Verde Medio Nijinsky?? It is listed on the original delivery card for my 1974 GTS as the original factory color. It doesn't seem to show on the 32 color cards either. Since it's been repainted, I've never even seen this color anywhere. Please post if anyone can find it. Thanks, J.R.
I do have a paint sample, but it`s with the Ferrari design department in Maranello at the moment. So I can`t post a picture. The colour is displayed in the colour chapter of the Dino Compendium. Only three Dinos where originally painted in Verde Medio Nijinsky.... Regards Matthias www.dino-book.com
This is Verde Medio Nijinsky on a 365 GTC4. It would look great on a 246 IMHO. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Flemming, Did you import this gorgeous Dino from the U.S.? It appears to be a late Series E U.S.-spec car. Fred
Hi Fred yes sold to me in nov 2008 Seller Tony Z - we are about 10 Dino GT / GtS owners in Denmark 1 GT (mine) and 1 GTS is imported from US ps. I olso have a Fiat Dino Spyder 2.0 and a Fiat Dino Coupe 2.4 !! all the best Flemming
I love Fiat Dinos, especially the Spyder. I have a slightly earlier E Dino in Rosso Fiorano (not an original Dino color, but quite similar to the Rosso Bordeaux) and an E coupe in Blu Sera with tan interior that has the same later equipment as your beautiful car. Enjoy them all, Flemming! Best Regards, Fred
in the same garage as my Ferrari Dino Gt 04948 !! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Flemming, nice to see you posting here. Beautiful car, beautiful color! Somebody at Ferrari must also have felt that burgundy was a great color for the Dino, since they offered no less than three different shades of that color (Bordeaux, Cordoba, Rubino). Of course, I am more than a bit biased, but I agree with them. I think Dinos look elegant in these colors. Also interesting to hear that there are two US Dinos in Denmark. Of the two dozen (or so) Dinos in Sweden, there are supposed to be one or two US versions, although I have never seen any signs of them. Beautiful Fiat Dinos too. Enjoy! Best regards, Lars
