hi All, I just got a F430 and wanted to remap the ECU so I took out both the Motornics to send to UK for remap, but then decided not to, now I do not remember which will go where, they both look exactly same and with same plugs, is there anything I can identify them by? We dont have a Ferrari dealer in Bangladesh, makes it a bit of a problem... here is the one of the ECU. my vehicle is 2005/ UK Spec F430 F1 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hmmm. I'm not absolutely sure but I think they're both exactly the same and interchangeable. Someone who knows this for sure might post here but I'm pretty sure this is the case.
Greg is right, they are 100% identical as you can see in these pictures of the RH and LH ECU. It doesn't matter which one goes on the LHS or RHS. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It matters on a 360 because the security system has "burned" it's ID into the right ECU. Switching them will make both the same. If you ever need to change the security system (and the pin) you will need to replace the right ECU. I'd assume it's the same on a 430
