    Greetings everyone,

We at the Ferrari Owners Group would like to extend an invitation to any Ferrari Owners that would like to visit the Petersen Automotive Museum with our Ferrari 50 Rally contingent on Sunday Sept. 25, 2011 at 10 am. This visit to the Petersen Museum will be the culmination of all events associated with the Ferrari Owners Group Official San Francisco to LA Charity Road Rally Weekend (events from Thurs. Sept 22, 2011 to Sun. Sept. 25, 2011). Ferrari Owners Group Rally Cars, decorated in Sponsors' Livery, will be driven to the Petersen and Parked together. The Petersen is currently featuring the Supercars Exhibit, which showcases classic and modern era Supercars of all Marques, in the likes of the Ferrari F40, F50, Lambo Miura, to the Bugatti Veyron, all under one roof. We will have a guided tour and you will have time later to go back and review any of the Supercars or other exhibits displayed. On a normal visit, The Petersen Museum will usually charge $10 a person and will charge you for metered parking. If you will visit the Museum with the Ferrari Owners Group, cost of entrance will only be $6 a person and parking is free. The only catch is you have to come to the museum in your Ferrari and you have to enter together with the group before the 10 am scheduled tour time. Come along and enjoy this world class museum, at reduced rates, with other Ferrari Owners and be part of something special.

I would like to take a list of any interested parties. Please list your name (or screen name if preferred) and type of Ferrari you plan to bring to the Petersen Museum.

Does the tour include the vault?

I hope I have another Ferrari by then. Petersen is right down the street from my house. Any chance that I can sneak in with a Porsche?

Sorry SrfCity, to get back to your question about the vault so late. It's been a busy day at work. Currently, the tour does not include the vault. However, we are inquiring about vault access and will keep you posted on whether we will have this privilege during our visit. I expect to receive an answer in regards to vault access today.

    Jlonmark,

If you come in with the group before 10am, I think, you may be ok. If they are really strict with the parking situation (I believe you will get a validation for your parking after doing the tour with FOG), not sure if they will charge you for not having a Ferrari, but I highly doubt it. I think you will be ok. Add your name to the list if you are serious about going.

Unfortunate timing, as I'm sure a bunch of SoCal people would like to greet you. The FCA SW Region is having a garage tour the same day. Oh, my social calendar is just TOO busy!

    Yeah, that's too bad.
Ed, we'd love it if you or other FCA SW members could make it out to the FOG Rally Gala Banquet Party at the Hyatt Century Park Hotel on Sat. 9/24/11. Here you would be able to meet all the drivers and navigators as well as indulge in Master Chef Sam Choy's feast, play with CXC simulators, and partake in the Auctions. As such, please check out the www.fogrally.com for all the details and you can directly purchase tickets for the event online.

    Thanks for the interest.

I choose this event over the mancave tour. I haven't been to Petersen.

I received the PM message below from Albert last week. Is the event back on?

"I regret to inform you that I unfortunately had to cancel the FOG Group tour visit to the Petersen Museum on Sun. 9/25/11 at 10am. We just found out today that our Rally Transport vehicle can only pick up our cars at 9am on 9/25/11. In order for us to partake in the group tour discount and free parking we are required to drive our Ferraris to the museum during the scheduled 10 am time. I do plan to visit, along with a handful of FOG members, the Petersen museum on my own accord a little bit later in the day. I am truly sorry, if this change has caused you any inconvenience. I hope to meet you at the FOG Rally Banquet dinner at the Century Park Hyatt on 9/24/11 at 6 pm. "

just noticed the addition of 3 more socal Ferrari Owners on the original list for the museum tour with FOG. I had pm'd several other socal drivers who signed up previously and were interested in visiting the museum with us about the recent cancelation of the tour due to a conflict with our transport carrier. I should have posted the definite cancellation of this event last week to avoid any other people from signing up. I plan to visit the Petersen a little bit later n the day, but unfortunately cannot avail of the car club discount price and free parking. Again, I am truly sorry if I have caused any further inconvenience. The Petersen exhibits on Supercars and Phil Hill alone, make it worth the price of full admission.

I hope that many of you will consider attending the FOG Charity Rally Banquet dinner supporting the Opportunity Impact Charity at the Hyatt Century Park Hotel on Sat. Sept. 24 at starting at 6pm (full schedule of events on www.fogrally.com)

Thank you Albert for the update. Due to Prancing Thunder (TR owners group) second annual pizza gathering on Sept. 24th, we will not be able to attend FOG dinner.

We have chief flying out from Maryland to meet us at our founder's stable in Beverly Hills.

I will ask members to donate to FOG and be in touch with you.

Thank you for the update, have a safe drive and a good time.

    Haig
