Yowsers! That looks like a mix of about 10 different 50's and 60's Ferrari's, done in a bad way... Not harmonious. At least it's got a manual box.

I have a weak-spot for these retro-mod recreations. "Weak" because retro-mod is relatively easy. The basic design is done to begin with, is already iconic, and all you have to do is add modern touches: wider wheels, lower body, modern headlamps, integrated bumper, etc.

The result is usually love at first sight. Ergo, the immediately accepted Porsche 911. In contrast, the FF demands some time, some acclimation. She pushes your boundaries, asks you to reassess your standards. I admire Ferrari for taking the proverbial road less traveled but its hard not to feel wistful for the classics.

This Gullwing-America concept is really interesting, with its obscure and arguably unloved starting point and its outlandish finishing one. The rear indicates a further modification as a shooting brake may work, perhaps using the FF chassis.

Using 456 plaform is silly. They should have used a 612 which
    is a lot better.

    This is Vaporvom.

A few small changes to make it more subtle (swap headlights, for example) and I'd probably prefer it to a stock 456. Honestly, I might consider it over some of Ferrari's more recent offerings.

That head on shot reminds Me of a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow that's been dropped to the floor!.

Meanwhile, the rear three quarter shot looks makes it look like someone has grafted the upper part of an MGB GT onto it!.

    Other recent cars

The SP1 based on a F430 for Junichiro Hiramatsu

The P540 Superfast Aperta (SP2) for Edward Walson

The Superamerica 45 for Peter Kalikow

    Fioravanti’s F100 and F100r (sanctioned by Ferrari?)

What other recent sanctioned or in house specials are there?

PF also made a stunning Homage to the SA on a 599 platform which alas hasn't publicly been shown.

Yes, save the 456's, they're actually beautiful cars. The 612 is a whale looking for Ahab.
Though, that might not be what you meant, Jim.

    :)

That said if you're going to build something like this you want to use the best platform.

    456's are a bit dated vs 612's.

As an aside the engineering to make a fully functional one off that drives like a real car is enormous.

The best part of P 4/5 to me is that she's a Great, usable driver.

No chassis? Can it have a title without a chassis?

i don't see the ladder frame in those pictures, my guess is it's missing....it's possible there is a registration for the car, but also means that there is possibility for a duplicate registration for where ever the chassis is at now? ....possibly another state?

if the original chassis/engine couldn't be foud to match to it, it'd make a kool project, that without cutting it up, build a new ladder frame under it, and incorporate some new suspension, brakes, engine, etc....like a wrecked new california perhaps

    :)
