    Ferraristi,

I received multiple PMs asking to post a video describing how to replace the F1 pump motor without disconnecting hydraulic lines.

    Here is the link:

If you have any questions, let me know.

    You are very welcome !

Note, that the video lasts only 7-8 minutes, during which I replace the motor as well as narrate the process. Thus, that actual time needed to replace an old (or burnt) motor with the new one takes about 5 minutes only !

I'd like to underscorre again, that there is no need for bleeding of F1 hydraulic system after replacing just the motor, as opposed to the whole pump.

Even a caveman can do it... :)

    Juri, Thanks a lot !!!

do you make the radiator kit for the F1 pump motor in the 430 Scuderia? I'm interested (and some other people might be interested as well).

    thanks

    Juri,

Count me in if you build this kit for the 430 Scuderia/16M. I know this motor works hard on a track day (lots of shifting), so very likely I will replace it as a preventive maintenance item, but I would like to add these radiators.

I can then send you my old motor for you to revise wear, and given the mileage and type of driving I do, we can determine how often they should be replaced in a Scuderia.

    Thanks.

That sir is just an outstanding item you've added! (Never thought about just replacing the motor section before, not bad)

But very (very) nicely done, and I'm sure many folks will jump on it in a heartbeat!!!!!

As for the heatsink. Its too bad one could not be made with a small fan attached to help with the heat extraction, considering there is minimal air moving from there, or heck, even some way to duct are onto the motor.

    But again, awsome job!

I will greatly appreciate if you send me your old motor to assess the wear and develop potential alternatives.

    Thanks.

but if one needs to bleed the system , what would be the way to bleed the F1 hydraulic lines without a computer ?

Which is a great way to trash all the seals in the actuator.

Just for the record, the pump heads wear out too. Misdiagnosis poor repairs and internal leakage causes as many F1 systems to fall over as pump failures do, and are often the cause of the failure in the first place. If you have no faults with your system and a good pump and relay the pumps last a good few years, and are readily available cheaply, (Alfa selespeed) if you want an upgrade fit a 430 pump.
