    Tim was in Winston Salem today (I think our cold in NC even surprised him!) to show us and test fit one of the roofs. We signed a few documents regarding production distribution in the morning, and after some outrageously rich pastries from the bakery around the corner, we un-crated the piece, fresh off the truck from Canada.

    Mike has pictures on his camera.

    I can safely say, pictures on this thread do not do the piece enough justice. The build quality, lightweight materials (35 pounds total), and design greatly exceeded our expectations. Still some tweaking to do... the top is now on Mike's car and if all goes well, will be ready for commercial release in January.

    I understand the Shaq top was to add room. iMO it does not enhance the appearance as it is hard to beat the look of the top down boot,however, the look and option of a pop on hardtop for the winter is amazing Your design in keeping the lines of the B truly enhances the look. I can't wait for commercial availability. Keep me advised.

    Could the top, as it sits right now, be sold commercially? Yes. Is it absolutely 100% perfect? No. There are some minor tweaks we want to do regarding cut of the rear window and how it affects flush mounting along the sail panels. We also want to gently modify the B-pillar (quarter glass) area where it meets the door.

    Installed, it does really look beautiful. The interior roof, if you are inside the car and look straight upward is very nicely done carbon fiber. The smoothness of the rear sail panels is excellent. The latching mechanisms are extremely good. These will all be sold in rough prime condition and require painting by your local body shop. I floated the idea of a matte-black delivery, like some of the new 458 schemes but Mike and Tim dismissed that as more complexity and cost than we want to introduce.

    Finally, the packaging of this roof is outrageous. It will absolutely only be shippable via freight line here in the USA, and via freight carriers internationally. Just judging from the box size that is now in our dumpster (actually, it didn't even fit!), I would estimate shipping in the USA will run about $350-$400, and international shipping will be in the $1k neighborhood.

    It looks pretty cool. Cant wait for the finished product.

    It does look great on my car just a few tweaks needed to make it perfect.

    My wife walked in the garage and was very surprised to see a Berlinetta looking car in there.

    The original mold needed new windows which I now have and are currently being fitted at the body shop. I will let you know as soon as they are finished and it is fully mounted.

    Wow nice job guys. i have thought about doing this with a custom guy in town but i do not think i would do anything diff. How Much ? Approx, and how fast can you make them ? again nice work. how much weight did you gain or lose with the fact top and all the motors and hydro off ?

    GUYS,
    I am so sorry it has taken so long. I rushed perfection the first time. When I brought it down to the boys at Ricambi, they LOVED it. But, it was off by a hair.
    I called Daniel today to tell him of the great news and he told me that they were not interested in it anymore as it has taken too long to finish. Unfortunately for me I won't be able to piggy back off of their great reputation.
    HOWEVER, IT IS READY AND IT IS PERFECT!!!
    I will post some pictures of the top when I get it to my office in a day or two.
    Can't wait for you to see it.

    READY TO GO. They come finished in a gel coat ready to be colour matched to your 355.
    No mods to your 355 at all. All you have to do is have your body shop paint the roof and glue/fasten the windows and weather stripping and then place it on your car and lock her down.
