Jon, the majority of car guys are just that; car guys.

I know a few local collectors. Most of them have more than 1 car in their collection of many, that are worth more than my total net worth. These guys are serious collectors & they appreciate ALL types of cars. They don't intimidate me or anyone else for that matter. They enjoy talking and listening about their cars and other peoples cars.
They are some of the nicest and down to earth people you could meet.....I am sure, just like you and I.

That's what draws us as a group, be it in person or on a forum, because we like to talk cars.

When I was at a local evening C&C, a person came with the coolest '63 Bug.....surf board included. It was nice to hear his story and experience with his car, and talk with this car guy.

FYI, I always dreamed of owning a 911 growing up, and my next car may be one. I don't know much about them but the older 930 Turbo appeals to me.

Excellent point; but you have providence and history with respect to car ownership and experiences.
I read, enjoy and respect your posts.

That totally depends on how you earn it, I suppose.

Paul Frame was pretty well known, here in Houston.

Maybe he should have kept quiet??? :D :D

If you tried to Google me, you'd meet the ex wife......she kept the 'non portable" property.

Most of us (I mean the owners participating on this website) actually do.

    There's "old Money"
    There's "New Money"

    ...and there's "spent money"

Cars definately go in the last list!

For me it was Mack, Kenworth, Peterbuilt, IHC, Louisville, Mitsubishi(believe it or not) and Sterling brands for Class 8 money making trucks that I owned.

    @emcauto
That's what I INVESTED my money into(besides property, my construction business & other investments), so that I could spend some of it on my cars......and enjoy it.:)

Thanks man, that was kind of you to write.

I don't actually have an old 911, but I wouldn't turn one away! I just love the newer tech.

I've never been to a C and C, but I'm sure you're right. Most car guys, and gals, are open people who will really go out of their way to help a fellow enthusiast.

    Jon, no problem.

So you would not mind if I came to a C&C, and parked my '02 SVT Focus beside your Gallardo, GT2 or soon to be delivered 458?.......it is a suprisingly quick, sharp looking, presentable car.....;)

haha fine. Better a skilled driver in a Focus than me in a GT2.

I should have used "76 Trans Am" in my example as that was my first car. Old 911s are truly to be treasured, esp 993 IMO.

That option already exists in your User Control Panel. See image below. Although, I'm not
sure if "registered" = "subscribed".... hopefully Rob will chime in to clarify.

"Registered" means "has a login profile and screen name." Not the same as subscribed.

    Rats. OK... never mind.

Rob? IS that an option that could be turned on in the software? All this
time I thought it meant "subscribed".

If Rob does that I will subscribe again.

I'd prefer a website that only included paid members. Get rid of silver and rossa and make FChat a single subscribed rate of $25 per year, would cut out a lot of the trolling and crap.

    Just a thought.

I am lazy and besides, people I "really" know, not virtually know, have a decent idea of what I drive and own when they see me drive it. You want to know more about me, come see me at MotorSport Ranch, races and other car events I attend.

Finally, I prefer to be an international man of mystery as to what cars I have.

Not just the location, but sometimes they ask for help and do not even mention the model and year in their post.

Keith, you definitely do not have a "Ghost Profile".
You list your full name, have your website for your driving school, location and endless amounts of cars that you have owned, own, enjoy and race and teach others how to drive.
You have owned/own probably more cars than most people on this forum, myself included; some of which I could only dream of ever owning.

You probably forgot more than I will ever gain in the knowledge of cars & racing cars.

You talk about all your experiences with the cars you have owned, still own & offer first hand, professional advice.

I appreciate and respect the information in your posts.
I don't think you are lazy by any means....maybe modest.
Your posts & profile speaks volumes. :)
