Hey everyone, Yesterday I spent a few hours at Lamborghini Melbourne and Zagame. I had a great day and took some photos at both dealers. Contrary to popular belief, the folks at Lamborghini were very nice and let me sit in multiple cars including a Murcielago, LP560-4 Spyder, LP570-4 Superleggera and LP550-2. The folks at Zagame were also very nice and didn't mind me taking photos of the cars and a few with them too. I thought I'd share some of the cars I saw at Zagame that were outstanding. A 599 GTO with a flat battery that came in for servicing, a 458 for sale, there were two 458s in the servicing area, there was an F40 in the servicing area, an F40 on display in the showroom and two Scuderias. One 16M Convertible and one regular Scuderia. After sitting in both Scuderias, the 458, the Gallardos and Murcielago, I'm surprised at how easy to drive these cars seem. I had no trouble seeing the sides or rear of the car, much like a regular car. On a side note, they were all very surprisingly comfortable! Anyway that's enough from me, I hope you enjoy the pictures and apologize for the low quality - I am very much an amateur. By the way, this is "IwantanF50". I'm not going to bother pretending it's not because a quick look at my IP will uncover this. I was banned for defending myself against false allegations who were made by another forum member who was also banned. However, I would like to be a member of this forum and make positive contributions such as the photographs I have uploaded. It's upto you, whether or not you ban this account, too, is not in my hands. By the way, I would really appreciate any advice about photography if anyone would like to make any tips/comments/suggestions. This is my first time "seriously" taking photographs of something.
I thought I might cop a bit of heat for posting Lamborghini pictures in a Ferrari forum but I will upload if you'd like me to.
Here are most of the photos from Lamborghini Melbourne. I heard a lot about the folks at this showroom and that they weren't very nice to teenagers coming in to take photos and admire the cars but immediately I was made to feel welcome by one of the salesmans (I believe his name is James, the elderly gentlemen pictured) even after expressing my motives of only looking at the cars. After asking very politely if it would be alright if I took some pictures, I was encouraged to and he even opened up a few cars for me. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of me sitting in the Murcielago because it was technically sold and the salesman didn't want there to be photographs circulating of someone sitting in a Murcielago that has already been sold (which is understandable). The last car I sat in was the LP570-4 Superleggera which was absolutely mind-boggling to say the least. James opened the car for me and at this point, a young couple walked in so he closed the door and went to greet them and speak to them etc. Leaving me inside this $500,00 beast. I sat in it for about 10 minutes just holding the steering wheel and admiring everything. I absolutely loved it and I will probably be flamed for this but I would take it over the 458. After realizing how long it had been since I got into it, I thought I'd better get out and unfortunately, James was still with the young couple so he couldn't take a photo of me in it. Nevertheless, it was an amazing experience and I love it! Having only sat in both, I don't have an extensive comparison but although they were both astonishing cars from inside and out, I think the Lamborghini takes the cake in this instance. However, if someone has driven both the 458 and LP570-4 Superleggera, I'd love to hear from you about your opinion. Nice story. What's that amazing looking black Lambo in the second photo? And...at least smile when you're having your photo taken.
Ahhh I see you have spotted the brand new, limited edition Lamborghini Gallardo LP1000-4 SV Performane Spyder! Conveniently disguised as a BMW M3! Haha on a serious note, I took this photo because I love how low and wide the Gallardo looks in comparison. On the smiling note, I wasn't completely ready for the photo haha and the salesman was in a bit of a rush when taking the pictures for me. Oh well, I'm sure I'll have many more opportunities to photograph these amazing cars and get photos with them where I can smile ear to ear!
When I went to Lamborghini Melbourne they told me not to upload any pictures to the internet, they also told me to hurry up and leave... It was a quiet week day there was no one in there and the sales guy wasn't busy. Said my thanks and left. Zagame on the other hand treated me very and continue to do so, had a whole morning with the 458 at launch and was was very impressed I look forward to next time. PS Red458 if you'd like I can give you some advise towards your photography, I'm at work right now and this monitor is horrible and not colour calibrated.
Gee it seems very odd that you were treated in that manner after how I was treated yesterday. I went twice yesterday and as opposed to being annoyed for seeing me a second time, the salesman seemed very happy to see me and spent a lot of time walking around showing me the different cars, encouraging me to take pictures and speaking about Lamborghinis in general. On both occasions, the whole time they were very welcoming and seemed happy with my presence. They didn't mention anything about the duration of my stay or not uploading pictures to the Internet (however I will comply with their request if they ask me to do so.) I must agree though, Zagame was a stand out. Their selection of cars was outstanding and they were more than willing to open cars for me and take photos of me sitting in them etc. They even let me into the servicing area(something I assume Lamborghini would not have allowed). I look forward to returning to both dealers later this year. Possibly in December when Lamborgini might have an Aventador for sale and Zagame will probably have many more nice cars, too. And about the photography, yes please, any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I guess the camera itself is not too important but the camera I am currently using isn't the best but I'll be getting a Canon EOS 5D Mark 2 soon so hopefully I'll produce some amazing shots.
I'd take the 16M over the 458 to be honest. Sure, it's a little slower but it's so much better looking in my opinion. On top of all that, it's a convertible!
Haha I don't know about you, moretti, but tearing down the road in a red 16M with a screaming V8 right behind my head, feeling the wind in my hair sounds really appealing to me I don't like soft-top convertibles but let's be honest, who's going to drive the 16M with the top up, anyway?
The treatment dished out in this thread is unusually mellow for your average vigilante mob, especially for a third attempt at reinvention after quotes such as this:
