Rebuilding a Challenge Stradale So I was on the market looking for a clean 360 Modena and this one came up, it look like a nice project to get involved and so after reviewing what happened as I found the original thread from Bill S I purchased it last August. I have already purchased all of the original part that I needed from one other Stradale that was part out by The Chop Shop in Canada; I have taken the car apart myself just to make sure that all of the bolts and parts were going to be sort out and bagged away during the built up so I have storage them on my game room (See Pics) and make sure that they go back in just like they are suppose to, I wrote notes and even video some disassembling. I have towed the car to the body shop about a month ago, they have already hand repair all of the under body panels, these guys are as much car nuts as I am, they are spending hours and hours on these panels looking for the minor details, so far I am VERY pleased with what they have done. Check out the pics below, Ill be posting some alone with the whole rebuilt process. http://www.challenge-stradale.com/134675.html http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280722728546&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is fantastic, congratulations! I look forward to seeing updates. Do you know the serial number of the other Stradale from which you acquired the necessary parts?
I remember that flipped CS from a previous post. The Previous owner's friend flipped it. Good luck with the "rebuild." It will be awesome.
Thanks guys, NNO; I have email the seller once he replies I'll post the VIN of the donor car, it's still on eBay. iPhone URL: 2004 Ferrari 360 challenge stradale engine complete 5k Browser URL: 2004 Ferrari 360 challenge stradale engine complete 5k
VERY cool project! Look forward to seeing how it turns out. It looks like the people who sold the car on ebay did some minor body work to try and straighten the car out some, and replaced the windshield. Is that correct?
Love these threads and LOVE to see a car "saved" like this. Congrats to you for taking the plunge and I look forward to following your progress and to seeing this great car put back together. Well done and thanks (in anticipation of a great thread!) Greg.
so the oem CS water expansion tank is grey? Mine is black on my 360, I wanted to paint mine grey too, any reflection glare problem?
Yes, I purchased it from Cap One Auto who in order to sell it replaces the windshield, DSide mirror, tail lights and rear grilled with a non Stradale one that I'll be selling. It has to do with the regulation dealers have when their selling a car. Thank you all for the good feedback; I'll be posting some more pics from my office tomorrow.
