http://www.roadandtrack.com/special-report/across-europe-in-a-ferrari-599-gts-sa-aperta Wow this is an amazing article. Has anyone here ever taken delivery at the factory and driven their car across europe?
Just do it mate, but will your car be delivered in winter? If then, get ready some chains! I wouldn't want to know for who though
Bloody awesome trip but he may want to know that in Swiss, you keep to the speed limit or they'll merrily send the ticket to your home, wherever you are!
and their fine is based on your ability to pay ... the more ur worth, the more u get skinned ... consider this ... Under Swiss law, the level of fine is determined by the wealth of the driver and the speed recorded. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-10960230
Oh dear, not good for investors. Well, at least they stopped production and looking @ what's wrong. That's the problem with too much reliance on electronics.
I just pulled out mine which happens to be next to me. Speed measured: 36km/h Deduction of safety margn: -3km/h Relevant speed: 33km/h Deduction of speed limit: 30km/h Excess speed: 3km/h Fine: CHF 40.00 They are so clinical in their report that you'd feel sinful not to pay..... for driving 3km/h above speedlimit & they actually gave u 3km/h "grace" Imagine the guy who owns that Aperta doing red-line on multiple gears? Ouch!
considering the length of time it has been "under development", there's really no reason whatsoever for this ...
Yah and there's another from the highway for Euro83 with 11km/h above limit then I just received one from Rome for an offence last year! Euro100.56 ..... I hope they don't trace my records this year! Touch wood!!!
Got a CHF120 fine for exceeding speed limit on my rental sent to me here few years back when I was there for a family vacation.
That's 3km/h more allowance than Melbourne! Btw did you get caught by stationary cameras or mobile speed traps?
How about getting away with student pass? ^^ No idea mate, but they gave me the address where I was caught & checked on google earth then remembered that intersection well, it was in a residential area. You mean Melbourne has it as 30km/h!? Anyway, just don't speed in Swiss & they have a lot of reminders on the highways.
