I know its not correct, but the tape on the lower body makes an eyecatching accent line...Wonder what one would like with a thin chrome strip, or bright silver pinstripe between the black and body color Excellent job. The metallic lays so nicely on that body
Extremely elegant color. Happy to see the small holes for the turn signals are there Regards, Alberto
This is the best example where you come to a crossroad and have to decide towards originalality or listen to your heart. This is where the heart wins!!! Freeman
Thank you for those kind words. It's truly a passion for the art of the design of the Dino. I couldn't imagine working on it any other way. She's a beauty. Looking forward to our drive to SD to see Jon Gunderson and to start the reassembly process tomorrow.
Thank you all for the kind and positive comments! Today was quite eventful for Dino *05280*. Steve and I rolled her out into proper sun for the first time and on to a car trailer. Then headed south back down to Jon G's shop. We arrived safely without much drama and unloaded. Steve, Jon, and Charlie wasted no time starting to put this thing back together. These guys are not messing around folks ... it was all business. Jon had his shop prepared like an operating room with all the necessary parts laid out awaiting their turn to go back were they came from, unbelievable! I thought I was quite organized.... not even close. And on a U-Haul trailer? This car is in great hands, it will be fun to watch it come together. It can't go without saying that Jeff is here in Texas, we need him to show us what he has learned. I think a good old show of fun Texas history is worth a good old fun show of Dino history any day. Now the question is, can anyone afford the amount that would require? I know the end result would speak for itself, but.......
Your right Shawn the Uhaul doesn't quite fit somehow does it? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I couldn't agree with you more Tom. Jon Gunderson and Charlie are both class acts! I missed Jeff today though. It would have been nice to have him around. It must be killing him not to be here to help his dad put together his Dino. Pulled up to Jon's shop today and both he and Charlie were leaning over his newest masterpiece. They both came out and greeted us as Tom and I unloaded his car. Within minutes the car was inside and Jon already had a game plan in place to start the reassembly. No nonsense. Thank you Jon!
Fantastic work and it is great to see the Dino come together so quickly. Jon and Charlie are indeed two well organized men so it comes as no surprise at the rate of their progress.
Steve sent me pics of continued reassembly progress the last days including: Headliner, Bumpers, Radiator, Cooling motor and fans, Door handles, Door lock cylinders, Side Mirror, Rear Side Glass, Windshield, Rear Glass, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Over the many years of restorations and preservations spanning exotics, classics, muscle, custom, prototypes, concept cars, both domestic and imported, I have come to truly appreciate the special bond between a car and its owner. FerrariChat members have demonstrated that this group in particular is unique in their appreciation of a car that uniquely fuses art and function. Dinos in particular expressed this because no two were alike when they left the factory. Unique nuances existed in each car as an expression of the freedom of exquisite craftsmanship not seen today. This individualization, many times undocumented and non-standardized, was further complicated by dealerships modifications that sometimes were misconstrued as factory standard. As an artist dealing with functional items, I am constantly balancing between the fine lines of customer expectations and being true to the unique lineage of the car. Many times this involves considerable research as well as educating the customer. I have turned down numerous projects when the customer did not represent the best interests of the project. And that again is why I have really come to embrace the philosophy represented in FerrariChat. Dino history has always been a wonderful blend of art, function and proud history. The people who own and love Dinos are exceptional as well. Thank you for all your support. ~ Steve Kouracos Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
TKO/Jon - Thanks so much for posting this process. I always really enjoy watching you work on these old Dino's. It takes a lot of time to post these threads & it is much appreciated.
Omgjon, off-topic, those corrugated steel doors for your storage shelves, are those purchased or did you make those? They look great. If you don't mind, could you post some detail photos? What a fabulous Dino. Andres
I think this demonstrates in the "best way" that if you do it "your" way with lots of great taste and great talent it serves as a future example and inspiration to all Dino lovers. This Dino will be a highlight at any gathering! Now about putting on some XWX's..... Freeman
