I think I remember back in the early 80's the California Disneyland having a genuine Rolex Mickey mouse watch in the watch shop on main street. Last time I was there the store clerk told me that Disney licenses their name to high end watches for the shop however the shop was filled with a bunch of quartz mickey watches..

Has anyone ever seen the Rolex Mickey mouse watch? I tried looking for pics online but couldn't find any....

I know someone who has one (he bought it in the time frame you mention, early-mid 80's). haven't seen him wear it in a while but I remember it was as tasteful as a Mickey Mouse Rolex could possibly be.

Yeah, I think that's it... I guess unlike the vintage mechanicals and new quartz mickey watches the hands weren't Mickeys arms..

Its my understanding that all real Mikey dials were presentation pieces by Disney. Be careful, lots of redials.

The original one I remember seeing had a tiny Mickey on the dial.
Nothing like these large ones pictured.
IIRC the mickey was about 2 times the size of the date and positioned between center of the dial and the date

I was just in Carmel (CA) this weekend and their local Rolex dealer (Fourtinaine?) has a pre-owned one (s/s & gold) for sale.

I saw a guy wearing one at Universal Studios. I gave him a hard time, and asked if he was spying.

Does this watch increase your chances of decoding the mysteries of the bloodline of Christ and the Freemasons? :D

Why would anyone make a Mickey Mouse watch and not use Mickey's arms as the hands of the watch.

Rolex never made a Mickey Mouse watch.

Companies bought Rolex's and had them redialled with the Mickey Logo. You may be looking at a real Rolex but the dial is very much not Rolex.

Do you have any sources to support private redials vs Rolex doing custom work in the 60s?

Not true. Rolex had a corporate department that would make special order watches with company logos-usually for service awards. Domino's Pizza dialed Rolexes are not that uncommon.

Rolex hasn't done this since the late 70's though.
