Thanks for the first class shots and write-up on the new AM. Most enjoyable reading over b'fast on a Sat. morning... Wonder who's the fortunate owner in HK??
Got the chance to shoot the new Aston Virage today. Really liked it. Okay, it might look pretty similar to the DB9, but if it ain't broke don't fix it, right? The subtle changes make it even better looking IMO and I was sold on the colour though my photos don't really do that justice. Just saw a photo of a white LP700-4 Aventador on our streets, if anyone is interested. Can't wait to see/hear one in person... Not my photo
Hey guys, just curious if anyone would like to tell me any locations where I could see some exotics in HK? I'm planning a trip for myself from Australia for a week and would love to check out some real exotics that we don't have in Australia. Thanks
As per earlier post, the Veyron convertible is in Bugatti showroom on Gloucester Road, more Causeway Bay end, close by Porsche shop. Ferrari shop is a liitle way away, back of Causeway Bay but only a couple of cars on the floor, nothing you couldn't see at Barbagallo...
Thanks for the reply I figured there would be Zondas, Enzos etc in the wild, not a fan of pestering dealerships to be honest, no biggie not the point of my trip anyway.
I was always lucky on Gloucester Road. If you walk around there or wait at one of the brigdes you should see a lot of exotics driving around. But so far I haven't seen a Pagani or Enzo driving around. every sunday morning there is a meeting at Luk Keng and Tei Mei Tuk. If you go, you should arrive early. I went there by MTR and bus together with a friend who lives in HK and I had to start at 6am from Causeway Bay - that was quite hard after a long night in LKF but it was worth it Martin
If you find yourself near the Grand Hyatt in Wanchai, walk over to the parking garage next door, in the basement is a used car lot like no other. There are dozens of dealerships displaying hundreds of cars there, quite a lot of exotics. (www.automall.com.hk; there are two locations, the Wanchai one has more exotics) It's all very friendly; nobody will give you grief for walking around. For cars in the wild, that's a bit hit or miss - weekends on the Peak are usually crawling with exotics, but I can't imagine it will be much fun standing on a streetcorner waiting for something to pass by. The Sunday morning drives are apparently the place to go (see some of the photos that others have posted here), but after 12 years in Hong Kong, I still haven't managed to wake myself up so early on a Sunday to drive up.
Thank you very much for the information, looks like I'll have to figure where I will be staying first it's my first holiday overseas on my own and I have lots of planning and research to do. Thanks again!
Anyone noticed this very special Daytona from Italian Motors currently for sale? Anyone know the history of it? Too bad its LHD otherwise it would be quite an interesting car to be rolling around our streets with proper plates http://www.dealer.ferrari.com/italianmotors/used/FERRARI/Classic/_/17509375
Good find! Info here... http://www . supercars . net/cars/2687.html and here... http://www.coachbuild.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=1593 I'm sure regular Fchatters will have much more info on it.
