Hello mates, My 348 has been upgraded with a custom exhaust system recently. As you will see, it has been made in stainless steel with a pair of high flow catalytic converters (metallic 200 cell from Magnaflow), new o2 sensors, new mufflers and the "fuchs" tail pipes that it had fitted before this mod (fron Koenig, I think). My car had the oem cats, but it had been emptied, so it was decated. The sound was really good, and also with the Koenig tails the rear silencer had been deleted, so you can imagine. Everything was wonderful... except for the emission control guys, that did not seem very funny Well, these are the photos of the making of the exhaust system: First remove all Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

And finally... the finishing touches Now my 348 sounds like a race car with normal emisions. The sound is unbelievably beautiful and not bother at all. It's lighter now, and I feel a considerable power increase, REALLY. and the best is that this system is totally street legall. I am thinking that a Y or X-pipe design willl give it a more high pitched sound, I want to see how this setup sounds!~
I think it's awesome! I am interested to know how this setup reacts to no right/left bank pressure equalization like x/h pipe or single can. This setup would typically increase high rpm power and decrease the already deficient low/mid range power. Please post results or perceptions beyond what I'm sure the awesome sound will be I would love to try this in a much simpler straight short muffler design.
You may be right, and I would love to taste the difference with a X-pipe setup, although if we think about it... F1 cars have independent exhaust for each cylinder bank. I am not expert in this issues, maybe this is a good time to hear your oppinions. What do you think about it? benefits and drawbacks?
Hey!!! Spanish? I do not think will really have many problems with cops, I passed the annual inspection a few days ago with this exhaust with no problems, besides the silencers are homologated in Spain with certificate included, so the exhaust is technically legal. In fact I have some sympathetic stories with the police. Un saludo!
