Thanks for posting! That is actually Walter Wolf's first Countach 1120006. He & Frank were partners in 1975 if you remember. You can tell from the EE plate and the black-painted rear undersides that Wolf had the car finished in. Given the date of the pic, the car was a year old so Id say that its famed roof-mounted wing had been removed by then. Walter told me he hated this car in the wet!

All these concrete blocks towering the car and the lifter right beyind it makes me feel nervous. It looks like an excecution is about to take place.

Please for the sake of viewers mental well being , refrain to dispay harsh photos without a "disturbing pictures" disclaimer...

I forgot sensitive souls were wandering here, I did not mean to upset you guys, sorry ;-)

Though, as I had been totally frightened out by this one (will she be covered with sand ????), which finally remained my top SM pic, I figured out you could cope with my post !

    Cheers !

I would advise against ever driving a Lamborghini in the sand. The shoot was at the old San Juan Capistrano silica sandpits some 8 years ago and lasted most of the afternoon into the evening. The next day I looked the cars (1120192 & 1121034) over in the garage and there was sand everywhere!

    Joe,

During my college days visiting South Barrington where my close friend happnened to live in an estate directrly adjecent to Walter Paton's compound (they would talk to each other across the fence line at times), I saw him parked at a stop light in his Countach. As I was making a turn on to Mundhank road on my way to the subdevision called "The Coves" where Payton lived, it was my first time seeing a Countach in the flesh. It was a stunning sight for me having been thought the Cannanball sindrome in my early years. He owned a few night clubs in the area, one was the bomb called Confetties. He would some times have his cars parked in front of the club. I would drool standing in line to get in hoping not to get busted for having a fake ID...

    Geno

The green and yellow cars both sound the best.
