I don't know about the McLaren design but the new Ferrari wing is a major (as these things go) change with the end plates pushed farther out. Unless there are changes to the body work down stream that I haven't seen it would seem that the wing is intended to be part of a proposed new car design concept.
    It's all speculation of course.

Dave I think you may be right. Alonso said they haven't brought any updates in the last 5 or 6 gp with the exception of this front wing.

according to the BBC only Alonso had the 'advantage' of a new wing.

    +1

This is Formula 1, a second a lap is light years. I'm sure the HRT being 4 seconds slower than the fastest car doesn't seem like much to most people.

Finished pretty close to where we thought, only Massa finished 1 place better than expected.

Obviously I was referring to your LH-smugness/know-it-all level, which had been really toned-down since Button had been kicking his ass for practically the last 10 weeks.

How long was that trip to Europe again? "LOL".

Remember kids, it's OK to bash or ridicule any driver BUT Hamilton.

Throughout all the free practice sessions the BBC crew had noted that the Ferrari's seemed to lack the grip and outright speed of the McLaren and Red Bull cars and had suggested that they might even struggle against the Mercedes.

I was expecting one of the Mercedes to finish ahead of Massa based on their outright speed but Petrov put paid to that with Schumacher and Rosberg just seemed to fade away in the race.

Alonso did well to catch up with Hamilton,Webber and Button but I got the impression that they were holding each other up quite a bit which helped him.

The BBC asked Alonso if following Massa had cost him but he said no, he wasn't any faster than Massa at that time so it made no difference.
